I don't actually remember how old I was, or who we were playing, but Clive Whitehead played and it was an evening game. I was a late starter - it would have been mid teens.
Mid 60's when I was about 10. To start with went with my mate and his dad in his Austin A40 Farina!! Can remember that John Atyeo was still playing as he was the idol (if there was such a thing then!!) of everyone in the ground. Then started to walk with 3 or 4 mates the couple of miles from Highridge and back.
