Ok here goes, well I hope it does LOL. From left to right back row on the team photograph: Andy (Jock) Davidson, Les Collinson, Bernard Fisher (goalie), Brian Bulles, Mick Garvey, and Paul Feasy. Front row: Dougie Clark, Dudley Price, Chris Chilton, Eric McMillan, and Ralph Gubbins.
As for the changing room photograph, that is a bit harder but here goes. From left to right: Dougie Clark, Ralph Gubbins, (now going towards the back) Jackie Sewell, Roy Shiner, Brian Bulless, Paul Feasy, Bernard Fisher, Les Collinson, Charlie Crickmore, Andy (Jock) Davidson, Gus McClean, (coach) and sat down Dave King, (not the comedian of the same name at the time but a good imitation on the pitch) 'Jock' Davidson gave me the team picture and Jimmy Lodge the physio gave me the dressing room pic, I was always at Boothferry Park in any spare time I had, they must have been sick of seeing me LOL.
Hi Joanna, just looking at a Hull City programme I have in my collection, Notts County 10th December 1955 the team was thus: Bly, Neal, Jensen, Davidson, Berry, Bulless, Stephens, Clarke, Mortensen, Bradbury and Cripsey ...... is this the team you remember?
I also have a programme dated 16th March 1963, friendly against Burnley. Hull City: Williams, Davidson, Bulless, Collinson, Garvey, McMillan, Henderson, King, Chilton, Cummins McSeveney. Burnley: Blacklaw, Elder, Angus, Adamson, Tarbut, Miller, Connelly, Pointer, Lochhead, Robson, and Harris. Quite a team they had then stuffed with England players of the day. Oh and if I have made any mistakes in names on the pics then please correct me. I'm already thinking that Ralph Gubbins may have been Ralph Cummins. Mmmmmmmmm
My fist City match I saw was Blacklburn Rovers in the Cup 1946, I paid 2.1/2p ( sixpence then) admission, City lost 3-0
My dad's 78, and his first match at BP was in 1949, you've pipped him by 3 years.. unfortunately he can't remember the score or opponents but recalls getting the train in from Driffield..
Thurs 16 Jan 1947. Just checked it on footymad stats page, City beat them at Ewood the following year though also in the FA Cup. What do you make of the internet age Charles?
I remember Bill Bly, Norman Moore,Brian Bulless,Viggo Jensen, Ken Harrison, Eddie Burbanks,Stan Mortenson and I think there was a centre-half called Means? Unless my memory is playing tricks. I think my Dad took me to Boothferry Park starting round about 1946-1947. I know that I was the only girl at that time!! In later years, during the Raich Carter era, I pretended to a friend that he was my uncle, as our surname was also Carter.
certainly is & isn't it great having all these supporters ageing from 16 to 79, if you look at the list we've got every generation in there, thought it would be a silly thread at first but it's turned into something intruiging..
Lardarsehesford - 39 Im guessing you can have a go at peoples ages by the players named in their usernames (some usernames)
