    Nice response Weighty!

Look all said & done I have not said he is better than Cressy only that I prefer him to Cressy.
The reason Cressy got so many assists was, for the most part he was playing in a poor team with mostly poor players alongside him, thus most of our attacks went down our left flank cos he was the only one at that time who could deliver a decent ball into the box.!

We now have any number of options when we go forward so the assists are being shared around more, Ty has weighed in with a few assists himself.

Sorry, but Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton etc etc etc cant be wrong, as cannot MM, he made it very clear during the summer & subsequent quotes regarding Jonny Parr's favoured position that he had faith in Ty at LB, to say that you are still not convinced about his ability/potential is amusing.!

Hewitt is not a better prospect than Mings, that is why he is down the road.

Ty seems like a decent kid who's benefitted from working under a solid manager that doesn't piss around. Not sure he'd get the same level of attention and development at an established Prem side stuffed with primadonna foreign wage-chasers. Well, not yet, anyway. I certainly can't believe that any of the top sides (ie those in regular Euro competitions) would be interested because he wouldn't sell shirts in China or wherever. Okay, he might consider a switch to the also-rans - Wet Sham, Sunderland, Everton at a push, but what would be the point for him other than the wages? He'd not blossom and most likely do a Wickham, which imho was a terrible move for the kid a couple of years too early. If Connor had stayed with us for another couple of seasons he'd have become a more mature player with an established reputation and probably have done much better. If Ty goes now I can see him on loan at Watford in three years time, wondering where it all went wrong. Although, given my ability to predict scores, he'll probably end up scoring the winning goal in the world cup final...

As I said before, if we make big money off Tyrone it's no longer our problem whether he progresses or not at his next club.

He has been good, probably my player of the season so far but links to the biggest clubs of the game does seem very ott and the rumour of him being John Terrys long term replacement is totally bonkers. Has anyone even seen him play as part of a central defensive pair?

He has all the qualities to become a quality Centre Back and let's face it if Chris Smalling is considered good enough to play for Man Utd...

Agree JWM ,I see his position long term as CB.How long has it been since we've had someone in that position with the ability to bring the ball out of defence comfortably and with the pace and strength to get back when things go wrong.

We will keep him, we will be pushing for promotion next 4 months, he will continue to learn his trade, his fans will be rapturous, we will offer him a new contract whether we go up to Prem or not, and he will choose to stay at ITFC!

One cannot put a stop to it, but agents stupid fees, ridiculous sums of money changing hands and absurdly inflated ott player wages are ruining our beloved game. Have been for 20 years.

Thank God we have mighty Mick who will instill lots of good sense in the young Tyrone.

On another topic.....like I said...Watch out for bloody Brentford! We need a point today!
