On that basis, Mclean is worth £1.3m and Rosenior is not worth anything.

    I agree whole heartedly.

Many games go by without people making any mention of Chester and do you know why that is... Because he is so consistent week in week out. He rarely puts a foot wrong. He is a superb player, one of our best and he will get better and better. If I had to be really critical I would say he could do with working on his aerial threat, especially at set pieces or corners.

As OLM says, Hobbs is too one dimensional and often just lumps it but I hear he played well yesterday and nice little flick down header for McLean for the goal.

For me though the jury is still out on Hobbs. Chester however I feel could be another Turner in the making and could become worth a few million in the not so distant future.

"I didn't go but I looked in a few of the Sunday rags and they suggested he was MOTM."

    Marvellous!

Looking at it like that then Rosenior must have negotiated a good weekly wage!! As for Mclean i would say we were robbed but we paid it so....
I dont know if there is any truth to it but i heard Fryatt's poor start to the season may be down to a failed contract renegotiation. Him and Mclean had the same sort of deal but cos of Matty's goals etc him or/and his agent tried to up his salary. Got rightly knocked back hence the listless displays. Probably b0llocks.

So glad to hear this about Hobbs, because I will put my neck on the line and say that I thought NP had made another crap signing with Hobbs and thought he would be replaced before the window closed, I hope I have been proved wrong and Hobbs keeps going from strength to strength with his performances.

I just worry at times about his distribution and passing ability.

I truly believe Hobbs was only run down on here so much as is there is some perverse love in on Chester. It must be a short arse thing, we have to prove just cos he is small he is still good, in fact he is better than Hobbs!! Its the same with Mclean, look at him get up for a ball, yes but its still not high enough to win it off the the 6ft 4 centre half.

"Opinions are like ass holes , everyone's got one ".

What film is that from then ?

For what it's worth my opinion is similar to Chaz' s.
Chester is a good player and will improve.
At the same time I don't see his performances as being a great deal better than Hobbs' and on occasion ( like yesterday ) not as good .

Hobbs is a big lump and in a team full of short arses he stands out as a man mountain .
His job never has been and never will be to spray 40 yard defence splitting passes all over the gaff .

His job is to defend and be a big lump
who stops the other team from scoring .

Yesterday he did that impeccably well and IMO was the best player on the park .

I'm not getting giddy because we kept a clean sheet at Peterborough but this pairing , for me, has real potential .

If Killgallon did arrive ( which I don't think he will ) he'd be on the bench if it was up to me .

I was right, we never should have signed him, OLM wins.

Anyone who thinks that a player who signs for a new club is going to go and ask for a pay rise, a matter of months after signing, just because they did the job they were paid for and scored nine goals, is quite frankly mental.
