Hey guys, a Rangers (QPR!) fan in peace here.

No ITK claims, but our taxi driver claimed that Real Madrid would be offering about 120,000,000 for Suarez in the summer - he didn't know if it would be in $,€ or £.

What would you guys be happy receiving for him, and who would you want to buy with the bounty you'd undoubtably receive?

Good luck with the league, I really hope that City slip a point here and there... And hopefully we'll see you next year!
 
IF a bid that size came from that club, there is a good chance he would go. Using
Bale as a benchmark, £120m is probably fair. Could get 3 good players with that.
 
personally i say no amount of money is good enough to replace him.

if we are serious about building for the future he needs to stay as part of the team, our attack is nearly as good as it gets, spurs would have been better with bale than the silly money they got, we would be no dif.

we need to take steps forwards not backwards,money wont solve that problem, players do, and luis is irreplaceable.

also he is a player who can help attract quality players to the club, spurs have lost that now with the sale of bale.

I'd hope we'd get 3 great players with that.

I'd say that we'd have to accept that kind of offer if Suarez himself also wanted to go, I'd hope that he'd want to stay and play in the Champions League with us for at least a season after all that has happened.
 
So a taxi driver in Houston Texas told the OP that Suarez is leaving, the club he's going to and the fee involved.

The other R, you're an ex-pat?, surely you don't need a Texan taxi driver to make up ridiculous Suarez stories for you do you because most non Liverpool fans from over are capable themselves.

We could get 3 great players, but they'd be replacing 1 player. Even if we replace him with 3 players we're still only allowed to field 11 players.

But it would hopefully improve the squad overall. Getting the right players would be key. For every Studge there's an Aspas. :(

Yeah, sadly born and bread in Basingstoke, so I'm not sure if Houston's a step up or down!

Not that it makes it any more or less believable, but currently on holiday in Madrid. And it wasn't an attempt at a WUM, just interested in what you guys would/wouldn't accept, and curious about who you'd look to buy.

(Personally, I recon a bid of £80 mil plus Benzema wouldn't be bad business)
