It is as I said earlier supply and demand. The club sells the player and receives (let's say) the 40 million asked. The whiole world now knows that lfc is in the market for an attacking player, desperate for a star player and has 40 million to spend. You knock on PSG, Madrid or Bayern's door and ask for their 10 million rated player(s). Suddenly the player is no longer available and is now worth surprise surprise 40 million. In the end you might be forced to buy a £10m player for £40m. We've obviously got a brilliant record at negotiating for top talent haven't we? We bought world class players like lovren , Lallana for very little money haven't we.
No need for a mole. The agents will do whatever they have to to maximise their players (and their own) earnings. They know that they have the club over a barrell.
Who are the current top earners at LFC, and on what approximate wages? Obviously gerrard on top on over 100K I'm sure, do you have anyone else on or above 100K? Anyone know what Suarez and Torres were on?
