I don't see anywhere near enough - and now that I am taking an all-day in-person Saturday academic course I can't even sit by the computer to follow the matches as they unfold and won't be able to do so until after Christmas.
Hardly any throughout a given season so l reply on and appreciate the pre and post match reports from you people. Cheers, Aussie
A very revealing article here, football fans being conned left, right and centre. All to satisfy the TV companies under the guise of 'atmosphere'... http://www.qpr.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=507703
Follow the R's and try to catch streams whenever possible but apart from that barely watch any other football at all any more. Lost interest years ago, mainly thanks to Sky and the ridiculous money thrown around. Most matches i've tried to watch other than Qpr have tended to bore me rigid within 20 minutes...... Probably only watch MotD 3-4 times a season Is it me getting older with more important things to care about/prefer..... Or is it because footballs lost its lustre compared to the sport i remember growing up? Or a bit of both? Not bothered with it at all anymore.
I still love live football and always will. Obviously QPR but I've got other teams I look out for and watch occasionally. I struggle now to watch games on TV that don't affect QPR unless I've had a bet. Most football just isn't that interesting with some exceptions like the Chelsea v City game last week. Like Clive on the LFW thread, I rarely get excited by foreign football though the last Clasico I watched was phenomenal (Barca won 3-2 away in the last minute). I'm more likely to sit through a Conference game on BT than the German/Italian/Dutch games normally on.
Didn’t bother watching England yesterday, opted to watch Scotland match as my son in law is Scottish & thought I’d give him some support, but that didn’t work!
I watch the championship round up on Saturday night...because I hope to see the Rs and it features other teams I have seen/will see. That is now about it. Practically never watch Match of the Day. I occassionally watch internationals. I still get a huge kick out of seeing my team play, so infact as I grow older, less "poor" and less family encumbered I am watching more and more live football. But it is much more MY team, and much less football the beautiful game.
