We look short of confidence at the back, are being over run in midfield and don't look capable of forcing our way into creating that many chances. Why not revert to 3 at the back and use Yedlin & Manquillo as wing backs, as they will be less exposed defensively. None of our wingers are showing any great form so we're not losing anything, but we can then look to use 3 in the middle with either one up top and one in support or even 2 forwards!! We need to try something, as what we are trying isn't working with the players we have available.
I had this conversation the other day. Rafa constantly moaning about not being able to sign better players and basically saying that he was forced to recruit ****e must be doing wonders for dressing room morale.
Would you bust a gut for a manager who constantly reminds you he doesn't think you're good enough? He's bought badly, coached badly and man managed badly. Unfortunately he's untouchable.
They are ****e and rafa told the fuk wit in the summer they would be no good in the epl and we needed to recruit.... It's like me pre moting your car... Expect it to fail on "tyres, exhaust emissions and a track rod end" Come the time of the test... "oh you've done nothing about those reported faults Mr Smith I'm afraid it's failed" Shock horror stamp feet who's to blame I demand it passes.... "Mr Smith, sir you were warned"
Not untouchable and not above criticism but he was not given the correct tools he had to shop bargain basement, you pay peanuts you get monkeys.... He was lied to and promises broken he should of walked like kk.... Remember who he is dealing with here... A fat greedy, lying, snake of a man. As for bust a gut, on Wednesday I felt they tried but errors and bad luck prevented a win not lack of motivation... And yes a poor decision by rafa to play slow mo and darlow.
But he knew the hand he was dealt and instead of trying to play with a poker face he's basically waving his cards around shoutng "and what the fck am I supposed to do with a pair of 3's".
I know it will seem like I’m biased as someone who has never been impressed with Rafa bar a short spell earlier this season, but how long do you give him? I’m not a fan of changing managers but my concern would be I have rarely seen this situation do an about turn when a manager turns on the current squad. I’d be the first to say these lot are not good enough, I did so at the start of the season. I just don’t know what you get from continually telling them. We were quick to say the same about Moyes when he was embarrassing himself down the road. You have to maximise what you have. It seems to me we did that early on and then he wasn’t smart enough to just ride that wave for as long as possible. He should have just shut up about transfers. In his defence the media are leading him into it with every other question but he has been around long enough to expect it. I said when we won the league last season if he left in the close season I wouldn’t lose any sleep bar the fear of who we would appoint. I feel the same now.
Nailed it for me, particularly the last comment. I think we all know, though, that either under the current owner or post-takeover he's going nowhere. Even if we're lucky enough to get a Jan investment, stay up, then get more money it will be Rafa spending it. I only see him leaving if we go down. It's still in the balance - we start games full of vigour which doesn't imply there's an immediate issue - the confidence is so fragile when something goes against the team or even an individual it quickly collapses.
Being lied to and taking g for a mug in public is a hard thing to deal with.... People react differently personally I would of slated the fat twat and walked rafa stayed but is obviously frustrated to fuk..... I just wish this take over was sorted and we push on. But believe me it's going to get worse before it gets better.... We need to keep our pants on and ride it out.
Colback's brother was hardly going to say any different to be fair. I think he's referring to moving a few to the U21s when he made it clear he didn't want them. The expectation was they'd move but, no, not little Jack Colback. **** looking for a move, just stay not playing for a manger that apparently pisses the whole team off, that's definitely how you should spend your season. Saivet's at least made it back into contention, why not little Jack Colback? Ones won the CL, the other got done for running round Newcastle keying cars, **** listening to any mouthpiece for that ginger rat. We're all making out like he's the only manager asking for money in Jan by the way. Have a look, every one of them always wants funds and asked for them all summer. Only Pardew was memorably more reserved and we all know why, plus that came with plenty of line-based banter. Just don't see how him wanting new players has pissed off any of the team that's actually playing. The likes of Aarons/Mitro will be, which is natural when you don't play. Actually, if these first-team players can play as crap as they have for the last 9 games and NOT expect to be getting ****ed off in Jan how do they realistically consider themselves to be living in reality? Going down this road of wanting Benitez sacked is pretty ****ing ridiculous though. Seriously who's going to do better with this team? Not even the "it's Newcastle who will we get?", Who would actually do better? Even Pulis would have a hard time getting a defence to exist out of this lot, even when you do you've got Elliot and Darlow incapable of dealing with long shots. He also doesn't turn teams into scoring ones and can't magic up a competent midfield. We all said how hard it would be this summer to get through the whole season, a lot predicted relegation. It's December, we're 2 points above relegation and everyone's guna be asking for his head after we lose to Arsenal.
