Every comment that I've read about this game from Scotland has suggested that they should hack the **** out of Bale.
Dundee's manager even used the phrase, "he can't run without legs".

Why the **** he's going to be playing when he's clearly injured is beyond me, frankly.
If he was at Man Utd then he'd never even have joined up with the squad.
 
Well as we know there are different rules for Man Utd.

It's been going on so long we just accept it and don't even seem to be bothered any more!

He couldn't even travel up on the same flight as the rest of the squad but to be fair it's a huge game for them so you can understand why they're so desperate to play him if they can. I think Bale's one of the very few players that shows the kind of commitment to their country that they should so it's commendable if a bit frustrating.
 
I can assure you the scots are going to give him a proper welcoming, they are true gents up here, they may hack Bale to death, give him a good kicking, but they will shake his hand after and give him a lift to the hospital, you have to respect them for that.
 
Dempsey has apparently been made captain for these two USA WC games. Juergen quoted as saying that he will be a very vocal leader!!!

Is this a different Clint Dempsey to the one that turns out for us??? Only seems to get animated when his supply of Mogadon is depleted!!! :emoticon-0105-wink:
 
We have 4 players in the England under 21 squad. Only Danny Rose started and he was replaced at half time, so now we only have Tom Carroll waiting on the bench to get a run out. No sign of Adam Smith or Andros Townsend.

I know I am biased on this, but shame on you Mr Pearce. How any manager can select a "water carrier" like Jordan Henderson ahead of an in form Tom Carroll, is baffling.
 
I'm not a fan of Pearce SC, but he might be experimenting a bit, as it's a friendly.
I think he's got a good idea of who he wants in the side in the summer, but he might be having a look at others, in case of injuries or a big dip in form.

You're right PNP. If I am honest, I do understand Pearce's logic here, just frustrated he hasn't used Carroll etc.
 
Into the last 15 minutes and Pearce brings on Adam Smith and Tom Carroll. England still 2-0 up.
 
Unusual sub by Pearce. He replaces Jack Butland the goalkeeper with 2 minutes left. Works a treat as we go straight down the other end and score. Delfonso makes it 3-0. Pearce must be a good manager..................

You mean their defenders were all busy scratching their heads and forgot to defend?
