I used to live in the area but didn't pay it much attention as it was mostly people dancing in the street around sound systems. You'd stand there for 10 minutes then get bored. Wouldn't mind going to it now as I'd be taking home bags of food, love curry goat, jerk chicken, etc.
I used to live in Notting Hill worked in Bayswater . It was still good in 2000 but the stabbings and the robbing of the food stalls ramped up . My 15 year old daughter plays in a band and wants to go , I told her to go Sunday lunch time and leave before 6pm If she wants to see for herself. It's like being stuck in a lift for the entire time , if the crowd surges you surge . Probably like Hillsborough but with terrible music .
