It's a real shame that what should be a colourful celebration for hundreds of thousands of people can be marred by a number of scrotes, no matter that the number might be relatively small ... It seems unfair to talk about cancelling the event, given that such action would impact the enjoyment of so many law abiding people - one of my daughters went to it with her housemates when she lived in Fulham a few years ago and she had an amazing time with no negatives - but ... if it is to continue then, unfortunately, it looks like even more stringent security measures need to be brought in to combat the potential risks to members of the public ... Stop & search powers should be further enhanced - would it cost that much to have walk through metal detectors at various entry points? Also think that legalising cannabis would also be a sensible measure ... particularly if possession / use is in those latest arrest numbers ... and attempting to arrest sparked more serious disorder ...

Saw footage of an arabic looking male being arrested for apparently trying to stab people. We have to separate black gang culture from muslim jihad. We are all of us at risk from the latter.
It would be interesting to see a breakdown of targets from muslim Jihadist attacks. They tend to go for white Christians & disproportionately attack weaker targets like women girls & old people. Black stabbers are predominantly young males attacking white males .
Phew, we're safe. Starmer's said in his speech he's going to keep chucking money at public servants to tackle the (mythical) far right. All we need is Caribbean calypso music and we get a free pass for public disorder. That'll sort it and no mistake. .
I have been to carnival at least 6 times my dad used to drive me up from Colchester & drop me & a mate off then meet up again a few hours later when I was about 14 or 15 . I moved to Notting Hill in 2000 & it was still safe & fun . As London became more & more diverse carnival became less & less safe & more over crowded. A teenage boy was stabbed in Queensway tube station in about 2004 & that was a big deal . Now it's a given unfortunately & with people like Sadiq in charge nothing will be done . Stabbing is just part & parcel when diversity is his greatest strength
