Instead of scrapping the 'carnival' which literally means putting away flesh, they could change it to the Notting Hill Musical Chairs.

The Guardian & BBC already had a bunch of news stories ready to chastise anyone who criticises the dry humping & chimp like behaviour of the carnival goers . Generalising about violence & stabbings , then the stabbings inevitably started & we will be reminded that violence is a white construct , Socio-economic reasons & youth clubs or lack there of.
The crowd size gives me the fear. The streets rammed full of people . Once incident could cause a mass stampede . I would have thought having the majority of the event in a park would be of preference (and safer) .
There's always trouble at festivals. Two peeps got shot dead, at the beyond wonderland fest in the US a few weeks ago.
