Virtually everything on this site is guess work. Otherwise every thread would finish after one comment. Where's the fun in that.
Whatever they have sold, it is not enough, we need more, come on now where are you? Let's be hearing from you.
If it exceeds last year it will probably be announced. Sales close soon so we should know soon. I am curious why we have a closing date for ST. In the Dell days, you could buy after season started (with adjustment for missed games) and then there were half-season tickets. I presume the club want to offer reduced tickets (which effectively ST's are) only if they get money preseason as they make more money per ticket with single sales.
It would be interesting to know what difference it has had made to sales by the reintroducement of "pay as you go system". A hell of a lot of fans complained that they could not afford a full Season ticket in one go.
The official site said on Wednesday that 18000 fans had committed to watch Leeds. Your guess is as good as mine as to what number of those were ST holders. I did think it ewas a strange way to say it though.
Well I reckon that if they beat last year, then they would probably say so. Missing last year narrowly would be a real achievement. When it comes to business, flat is the new growth, what with the economic climate and all. It would represent a significant uplift in revenue, but I guess that the club would not want to trumpet that, the price having gone up significantly. No, I haven't got a season ticket, for reasons already given on here but I think buying one makes sense if you go to most home games, and your mates or family are prepared to do the same.
That's what swayed me this year . Would possibly have renewed anyway , but spreading the costs makes it easier for me at the moment . Last year bought one outright , did payments the year before .
