that is 72 maybe going to be on the low, [you say +] side 49 +22 = 71 stay with me! Barnsley a game in hand have 48pts 7 teams have 49 [ CARDIFF & BOURNEMOUTH !]
promotion teams [top 2 ] usually need an ave of 2.0 to 2.25 per game and top 6 3rd to 6th, about 1.7 to 1.85
currently top is on 2.1 and 4th +5th [ averaged ] is 1.77 so 14 x 1.77 [ again averaged 2 teams ] 27 points! 49 +27 = 76 pts ..
of course that is the simplicity side... the real story is not the simple side a dozen teams not playing each other! BUT who plays who …. 30 mins to go AFC 0 - 2 Cardiff what if is 3-2! or 2-2 ?
