I've said all along that we will get 90 points and I still think that's likely. I would love us to secure promotion on Easter Monday against Rotherham

I am hoping that is the game we secure it as I am planning to take my nephew to that one, that will be his next game of the season.

    Bored!

Current form home and away separately would see us finish on 90 points or there abouts. So allowing for some slip ups I'd say 82 is a reasonable guess

brb your 83 is looking ever more likely.
I feel you have been 'conservative' in your estimate for the next two away games and again against Torquay - ( but we might have to settle for a point in our World Cup Final ) - the others look realistic. My main concern is that Burton are going like a train at the moment and I fear that they may pip us for the title on the last day.
..... still we'd all have taken automatic promotion at the start of the season.

Well not bad for a prediction made pre-season, although I hope we get more. We are currently 1 point ahead of my forecast and we still need to achieve another 13 points to hit my target. All season the highest and lowest variance has been 6 points. So to be Champions I hope we achieve the variance against forecast of +6. Even if my forecast comes in at 83 points, Southend and Fleetwood cannot achieve that number of points, whereas that will also be enough to put Cheltenham and Exeter out of the running unless they win EVERY remaining game. Other promotion chasing teams may also fall away from my own target as they lose/draw crunch matches. Promotion by Easter.

I am struggling to stick to a number so I will make a prediction by looking at all our remaining games. I have been between 83-87 for a while.
    Current points 70 points
Points available 27 meaning max points of 97.

Morecambe Vs Gillingham 0-1 73 points
Rochdale Vs Gillingham 0-2 76 Points
Gillingham Vs Accrington 3-0 79 Points
Fleetwood Vs Gillingham 1-1 80 Points
Gillingham Vs Rotherham 2-1 83 Points (Promoted)
Gillingham Vs Torquay 3-1 86 Points
Cheltenham Vs Gillingham 2-1 86 Points
Gillingham Vs Wimbledon 2-0 89 Points (Champions)
Burton Vs Gillingham 2-0 89 points with us top at the end of the season 2 points clear.

I think this will all depend on if the start goes to plan because if it does then I see us dropping points away from home but if we don't get as many in the first lot of games then I feel we will do better.
I am going for the 6 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats in our last 9, I think this will be enough for us to go up as Champions as I think Burton will drop points soon. Port Vale will recover and rise and Rotherham will push for the top 3.

I wish I had your optimism Hoadie :)

5 wins and a draw in our next 6??? I doubt we will do that in our wildest dreams.
We have not had a sequence as good as that all season! Despite being top.

I reckon at least 1 draw v Morecombe or Rochdale (possibly even both drawn or a win/loss).
I also cannot see us beating Rovrum, just cos it's fatty. I hope we at least get a draw and dent their hopes. But I think we might lose that big game.

So I think we are on target for around 82-84 points. That might still be enough to sneek the title. To get to 84 points Vale need 20pts from 8 games, Burton need 19 from 8 and Rotherham need 23 from 10. All very big asks.

I think Burton's decent run will have to stop soon. If they keep up their current form they could overtake us, and if they do, they'd deserve it. The only other team I think that might catch us (unless Vale turn themselves around) is Rotherham. They have the squad to do it, but I think we'd have to fall over a bit for them to reach us. 9 points behind us they are. I just hope they don't.
