As of now it's looking like four horse race, 12 games played, 26 to be played. Liverpool and city had incredible runs last season. This league is becoming more and more difficult.. Last season Liverpool accumulated 97 points and cannot win the league, they were beaten to it by city. Points accumulated so far: Liverpool 34 points, possible points from 26 games x 3=78 + 34 =112 Leicester 26 points possible points from 26 games x3 =78 +26= =104 Chelsea 26 points possible points from 26 games x 3 =78 +26 = 104 Man City 25 points possible points from 26 games x 3 = 78 +25 = 103 I do not think any team is going to have maximum points from 26 games. For a team to win the league this season have to do better than 98 points of Manchester city last season.
See, I think the points total needed might be closer to 90 this year (not saying a team will go beyond that, but just what's needed) only because of the competition. I would fancy any of City, Leicester, Chelsea or Liverpool to take points off eachother. Then you've got Sheff Wed, Palace, Bournemouth and Wolves who can be dangerous...not even mentioned Arsenal, Spuds and United who on their day will be a tough game even though this season's not great for them. There's a lot of competitive teams bunched together after 4th and they're all potential banana skins
