Unless some of you are on a wind up, I'd say you need to give your heads a shake, wake up and smell the coffee as they say. As things stand, we have NO '**** teams' around us. WE are the **** team, by a country mile. One or two more injuries, or jumping ships, and we are well and truly sunk (not that we aren't already). Of course there will be the odd upset, but that aside we won't even reach double figures. We are at best currently a poor CCC squad. We are materially weaker than last year FFS, on and off the pitch. All unless there is major change in the near future of course (which I'm not holding my breath about). #getreal
You can take solace in the fact that your squad, or whats left of it, has a lot of team spirit. They all seem to get on. Fears of doing a Derby are misplaced IMO.
100-1 to get a lower total than derby. Gotta be worth a tenner! I still see us getting more, however it is insurance to cover the embarrassment.
So much depends on what results we get in the early games, after which we'll get 1 or 2 players back from injury which along with 3-4 good signings, and a change of ownership could see the whole situation change beyond comprehension very quickly. I reckon we'l be well and truly down there come December, along with 6 or 7 other teams. January will be critical for us, hopefully by then the Allams will have been long gone!
I've been thinking and I don't think it'll be as bad as some make out, in the Premier Leagaue a measure of success is how much you spend. But our first team squad is pretty good if not a little injury hit.
Our current starting XI is nowhere near as bad as Derby's was, we'll get way more points. Unless they all get injured in the first few games, then we're ****ed.
Sorry but how the hell do you come to that conclusion?! We didn't exactly 'smash' the CCC, we stumbled along and thankfully made it via the play offs. Since then we've lost our best player, we've lost some useful squad players, we've lost a coach and our manager (not that I particularly rated him), and we have key players injured long term. And now we are one division higher - a division that is a leap not just a step up. OK, things COULD change positively as this month unfolds. On the other hand, things could also stay pretty much the same, or could even get a whole lot worse. Which scenario would you put money on? As things stand now, we are in deep **** and will threaten Derby's record. #
Up to January 15 - 18 points, January onwards 20+ points (hopefully with a few additions), these lads aren`t bad players, if we can keep them and they stay fit, with the team spirit we`ve got at the minute I suspect we will do better then most imagine, btw my glass remains half full ! Unfortunately on the downside we really are paper thin, and fatigue will kick in much quicker then with other squads, but I live in hope.
