1) Gus was a midfielder wasn't he? 2) I'm sure Xavier Hernandez can't play as a lone striker. Unless you meant Abel Hernandez, in which case I have no idea!
I didn't realise Gus played up front. I was young while he was at Chelsea mind so may have missed it. I'd agree with the rest.
You know what, odd as it is, I agree. Jozy always looks like something might happen, Fletcher never does, Connor sometimes does..
Chicharito I mean!! What's his name? God I'd buy a season ticket if we got Xavi. In my all time top 3 players
Ha, I never made the connection, Chicarito is Javier, Xavi is Xavier. I thought it was a bit random mate, haha.
It surprises me as well mate but he's so desperate to reward the supporters it would be sad if he never got the chance. He made all the difference at Birmingham and 'won' the match without scoring again. It was horrible watching his shot rebound to AJ for a tap in.
Aye, and there was nowt wrong with the effort running in one direction and cutting across the ball, he'll net soon and it will raise the roof, that alone will give him the confidence for the next one.
83% mate, there'll still be those that begrudge him it, sadly. He needs a song like, a proper mint one the whole ground gets behind, he'd buzz of that. Like the Mignolet, Cisse or Quinny songs, an epic!
Of all the strikers we have he is the best at bring others into the game with the way we play. Just hope the goals come for the lad. Physically he's a beast. My thought if we have free kicks around the box he should take them instead of Larsson. When he gets a hold of one there is certainly a lot power going into it. Also it would increase his chances to score instead of most times back to goal. One thing I will say about him is that he wears his heart on his sleeve and gives 110% for the cause...
"Jozy, Jozy, Jozy, Jozeeeee I'm begging of you please just score a goal Jozy, Jozy, Jozy, Jozeeeee Please don't miss you have it in your soul." With all the actions obviously
He does have great touch and vision, one of his flaws is that he doesn't use his size enough, he does for the US, which again comes back to maybe confidence. He's an absolute unit the lad, he should be bullying people, big time, I'm convinced it will come.
I thinks that's actually ****ing cracking that, aside from the last line. I'd just use second line twice.
He's certainly made himself into a cult figure at Sunderland, I can't remember the last time the fans wanted a player to do well so much.
