I remember a girl that works for one of the main dealers that service some of the clubs vehicles, saying how Pratley had told her, "He was signing for Leicester" I laughed and told her it's rubbish, don't believe him, but no she was sure he was speaking the truth, when he signed for Bolton, she cursed the lying toe-rag, I simply laughed my socks off!................... I never believe anything that any manager or chairman says until i can see for myself....Now the next 4 games we have coming up are the most important games of the season, We have 3 home and 1 away so if we cant get a minimum of 7 or 8 points from that then it will be a hell of a fight to stay up as we will be well and truly in the relegation mode...
Actually if you ask Musty (him being banned I assume you speak to him on that other forum) then he will confirm that I did break the story when I was PM'ing the emails I was sending the national press. Yes you and a million other people mate, Lukaku coming here has been talked about ever since word was that he wanted to go on loan to a team playing european football and the Swans were a natural fit , what you are getting confused about here is the stuff put in the National media, what my origional comments were about was what went on at the time and what WASNT put in ,it broke in the media a long time after but a watered down version to protect the guilty ,see, its not the stuff that gets printed in the press its the stuff that doesnt , ie, Monk and a few senior pro's digging out Laudrup as they thought he was another Sousa type bloke , thats what my comments were highlighting . If you get your kicks phoning newspapers up and telling lies thats up to you,i hope you have fun. what i get told from time to time comes from a very reliable HP sauce, i check it with a few other people i know on forums and personally and then we get our finger on the pulse, i used to love to share these snippets as thats what forums are all about, but the hyper sensitive on here dont like to here the real stuff just the powder coated everything is gonna be alright version. Your source by the way is most likely 6 pints of lager in some local. You are talking like the media wants to protect players and clubs, you should read what you are typing and then you'll realise that it makes no sense because you know as well as me that if the journo's saw that then it would have been in the papers the very next day. It wasn't reported at the time because it didn't happen, and we both know it didn't happen because we both know a journo is there to sell copies and nothing sells copies better than a little bit of controversy. They did not make a special case for our club and to suggest as such is very niaive.
With you all the way Project. I've said before that the very nature of verbal communication makes football rumour mills patently unreliable. Yes, you'll hear something with a grain of truth somethimes but often not before it's been distorted a million times beforehand. Rarely - very rarely, the thing you heard turns out to be 100% true. Not suggesting these posters are inventing stories, just placing far too much reliance on tittle-tattle. Having seen journos at work first hand I never believe anything in the papers either.
Oh dear totally out of your league my dear boy, lets just say that if the persons involved printed that episode they would be black balled by ALL football clubs!! there is term called "off the record" and sometimes its called into play to protect the club when something a bit sensitive happens, its also used to feed certain stories into the press at the right time,if the journos dont follow it they will not work in football ever again, please tell me you arnt this naive !!...
