With all due respect you are completely wrong, Monk and some of the senior players voiced major concerns about Laudrup on the USA tour, my HP sauce on this was from a National newspaper as they witnessed part of a bust up where Monk was finger wagging at Laudrup and he was just sitting down not really knowing what to do or quite how to take things, in the end some of the senior players made total dicks of themselves and Monk had to embarrassingly climb down and kiss ass publically to smooth things over. The Daily mail broke the story and the club closed ranks. Fast forward a season and a half and Ash williams was into the chairman after the cardiff defeat saying the same kind of crap , not happy with man management and tactics etc,etc its noticable that things have picked up on the football front but the truth is that British players are just thick as two short planks . We had similar things with Sousa as with Laudrup it comes down to how former top top players view the life and deication of our footballers , they expect them to take professional care of their bodies in terms of diet and fitness where as our lot expect everything to be laid out for them, and expect to be told what to eat,when to eat what to look after what to drink,when to **** etc,etc . Look at hw Martinez conducted himself off field, he never drank and looked after his body in his wn time, its normal for continental footballers,British footballers are stuck in the dark ages,when somebody like Brenden comes around stating the obvious the players think he is a fcking genius but diet fitness and health is a 24/7 thing not just for a few hours in training
Improve with experience? The guy is nearly 50 years of age and have managed football teams for the past 13 years but then i guess you may have a point. Sir Alex came good last 20 yrs and he's now 72!.
I've seen little evidence of a lack of enthusiasm or motivation. We have a paper thin squad and had to deal with Europe too. If we finish top half (a distinct possibility imo) all this talk will be forgotten. Oh, apart from the fact that I've cut and pasted Dai's 'predictions' for our demise - and they will be making an appearance come May.
I have seen nothing that is special about laudrup whatsoever. He was undoubtedly a world class player who could tackle and score goals out of nothing but he sure as hell cant teach our players anything he was the master of...strange that don't you think or is it he don't really have the skill to manage a team in the premiership...He has to be the worst yet but like i always say you cant blame him if he cant do it....just move onto the lower leagues maybe as no club worth their salt would employ him after his destruction of us that's for sure. Maybe he needs to be a number two somewhere so he can learn how to manage a once successful club.....perhaps Rodgers or Martinez can take him under their wing for a season or two to learn how to be a successful manager...
