Yeah I know mate, but realistically looking at the first XI, does Capoue get there when all fit? Spurs will likely never have a fully fit XI anyway which is why I'm confident that Capoue will get enough games, whether that be at CB or DM/CM.

There is a possiblity all 4 of Sandro, Paulinho, Dembele and Capoue starting in the same XI.

    A midfield of:

    ............ Capoue, Sandro..........
    Dembele..........Paulinho............ Bale

Could be a viable option. May not be the most creative midfield you'd see but **** me try getting through that! <laugh>

Yep, they really are YV. I work with 2, my best mate is a gooner and an old school mate who works in my local is also one. Every single one of them have admitted to being really frustrated so far this window especially when looking at how busy we've been, only one of them thinks they'll get Suarez too. I personally don't think Arsenal will get Suarez, I think Liverpool would be foolish to sell him and even more so to sell him to a English side and comments coming from their owner suggest Suarez won't be sold.
Having lost out on Higuan and potentially Suarez, who could Arsenal have as a contingency should they give up on the racist biter?

Wasn't involved for the U21s yesterday. Interesting to see if he makes the squad today. Probably too young and inexperienced, though.

Think Veljkovic is probably still a bit too raw for first team action but definitely one for the future.

Read an aritcle a few weeks back where's he's been likened to Vertonghen, not a bad comparison!

Like you always say Chelsea and never Chavs or Chavski. Would it hurt you Mr Big Fat Hypocrite.

  6. I never refer to CFC as "Chavs" on the Chelsea board. If I did, I'd expect to be hauled over the coals for it.

Is it too much to ask that guests to this board treat us with the same degree of respect?

    Hope you're right. :)

Yeah, even I might think twice about trying to batter my way through those 3! <laugh>

Looks like a good scrum that. Get Kaboul at no. 8 and Vertonghen and Chadli in as flankers.

Great idea that, Spurs rugby team:

    Prop - Brad
    Hooker - Sandro
    Prop - Gomes
    SR - Kaboul
    SR - Dawson
    Flanker - Parker
    Flanker - Vertonghen
    8 - Thudd
    SH - Carroll
    FH - Bale
    IC - Dembele
    OC - Paulinho
    LW - Townsend
    RW - Lennon
    FB - Walker

Something tells me Parker would make a great scrum half. Lennon's frantic running style reminds me of Robinson so maybe best to have him at full back, or Bale because of his kicking. We'd have to score a lot of tries though as we never get any penalties :(

Had Parker at flanker for his tenacity. Carroll at SH because he's a midget, considered Gylfi or Holtby though.

Lennon at full-back would be dangerous. Can you imagine him trying to make a last ditch tackle? He'd just be bounced.

Bale would be fullback. Joining the line at speed, he'd be unstoppable. Lennon, unsurprisingly, on the wing
