Liverpool (H) - Anything can happen (I'll say Arsenal win, I want us out the comp anyways) Bayern (H)- loss (I want you to win, but I think they will pinch a win in a close game) Sunderland (H)-Win Stoke (A)-Win/Draw Swansea (H)-Win Bayern (A)-Draw Spurs (A)- Anything Can happen Chelsea (A)-Anything Can Happen City (H)-Anything Can Happen Everton (A)- Anything can Happen I think you will win at least 5 of these games, but if you are lucky possibly 6 or 7. I wouldn't like to say where from though. The top 5/6 in our league are capable of beating anyone on there day recently. Hey we thrashed you boys last time and we sit only 3 points above the spuds and 3 points below yourselves. I will say one thing though. Although I havnt looked at our fixture list, the remaining fixtures listed here are not easy games....
You say that.. But it can be agreed that our defense has looked rather Shaky recently. Why and when did Agger get injured? I think a topic has split everyone before on the FA Cup; so I wont say anyone more than that.
So guessing you're hoping we don't get 4th and drop to 8th next season so we don't have extra games to play in the CL or EL in which players may get injured then? What's the point in being in a comp if you don't want to win in #smallteammentality Also, Agger was hardly in the team at the start anyway, Sakho is the one that looked the better of the CB's and he got injured in the league
We need to be in the top 4 so we can compete in the Champions League again as soon as possible. I just think as things currently stand we are slightly more fragile than say Manchester Cities or Chelsea's squad of 1000's and when an injury is picked up you can see the damage in our starting 11. (just look at Enrique backup). That being said I would be delighted if we do succeed in the FA cup (if someone could somehow guarantee we don't pick up injuries). I admire your passion, aiming to win everything all the time is very Liverpool as old; but can i point out the strength in depth we had in the past which let us aim high. I feel we are still building and for now should put our eggs in the basket to secure the top 4 and maybe push a title winning chase this season rather than risk having less players available. I respect some agree and some don't, but you have to see the logic. It is not about us being a "little side", it is about our squad size being slightly smaller at this current time. More Fixtures = More Injury Risk = Less players to choose from = Larger Squad Required. Can I point out that next season if we do secure the Champions League; i have faith that our squad will expand slightly anyways. Note: even if we didn't expand. It's the champions league! Something worth sacrificing injury risk to play in (in the event our squad is small), this is why there were fans last year celebrating no EL cup.
Yes we need to be in the top 4. But after today we have a week before we play Swansea. Swansea on the other hand also play today while then play on Thursday in EL. Being fresh for the next game shouldn't be a problem. After that you're only a couple of games away from a final. If players can't manage an extra 3 games in their busy busy lifestyle then we should give up now. Yes there is a risk of injury, but you've just as much chance of getting injured in training than on the pitch so you can't always use that one or we'd never play Suarez in case he got injured! Just imagine if we go out today by being hammered 5-0.. it could dent confidence and ruin our run in for the top 4, where as imagine what another win against Arsenal will do. not only for us, but to them as well. It would put massive doubt into their mind and probably drag them into a 4th place battle and possibly allow us to over take them for 3rd place. Sorry but I can never, ever wish for my team to lose a game of football. Thinking we might lose, yes, but hoping we do? No.
You have a point. I for one will probably watch the game today and my heart will probably take over as always. And I'll admit taking a loss against Arsenal in particular will really not make my day XD. Mind you if we win it an say Suarez gets injured I don't think it would particularly be worth it.... You have a point about injuries in training though. Come to think of it we have probably had more injuries outside of the pitch than on it in the past few years. I am just being overly apprehensive due to our squad size. I am still not sure if the FA cup is worth it, however you are right: it's a competition our team are playing for.
I dont - i really dont like spurs, gonna get a mauling for this but, i never had a problem with utd as a club just one guy really, but have never liked spurs as a club. The one was against us Figured i missed something here or wrote something incorrectly
sunderland will be harder now cos some players looked shattered. at least its at home for them. but i htink sunderland play better away
