City will take the lead, then defend for their lives until Swansea grab two late goals

    Swans to win 2-1

before it turned into a slanging match there were some interesting points on here. the last time the swans were in the top flight we finished 6th and were right up there all season and even top for awhile. thats probably not going to happen again for one reason alone - MONEY. unfortunately football is rapidly dissapearing up its own arse, the average fan is being priced out as players demand what can only be described as obscene amounts of money, whats more a lot of them seem to believe their own hype, small wonder its hard to identify with them.
the premier league is now totally stitched up between 6 clubs and anyone who can find a filthy rich benefactor to compete with them. it saddens me that thats what its become but to answer an earlier question no way would i want the swans in the hands of people who are not connected with the club. weve already had our wake up call and im very happy that after a lot of hard work the club is now being run responsibly. not only have we achieved so much to get where we are since the dark days but we did it playing attractive football and most importantly SCFC is in the hands of people who live and breathe it - that makes me immensely proud.
i understand the city fans defending their club and wanting that bit of glory, (especially after their neighbours have been winning everything under the sun all these years) but to me their philosophy is part of the problem and i ll never buy into it and like someone else said the bubbles going to burst at some point - to football in general.
anyway to the game! city will probably have too much for us but i hope we stick to our guns and play our usual passing game and come away with the confidence that we can live with the big boys. 2-2!

If you had posted that a while ago i would have agreed but thankfully RM seems to have changed his philosophy.

exiled, the last time the swans were in the top flight, they got relegated! otherwise we'd still be there.man city away is going to be really tough and the best i can see us getting is a draw(which would make me very happy) player's have got to believe and be fully up for it, if they think like that we'll have a chance, if not we'll get stuffed.
