    That small Freud snippet doesn't really define or say anything. At a loss to why it was posted. There are far more relevant sections of his work to prove his ''ego'' statement.

    I wasn't about to start a discussion about egos, that would be a very deep discussion. I just wanted to highlight how in my opinion a load of ego's and characters have grown while I have been reading this board. I wouldn't want to upset anyone and I don't want to be drawn in to this but there are a lot of lost souls on here.

    Even older here, remember being relegated from our first season in the old First Division, Roger Morgan being sold to Spurs and what weird huge legs Ron Atkinson had when he turned up with Oxford United !

    That was the season we got beaten 8-1 by ManU and ended up with about 17 points, a record low for the First Division. 1967/68 I think. Yes, we must remember not to look back with rose tinted specs.

    Remember Big Bad Ron playing for Oxford at LR (had a brother playing in the same team). Also remember him having a bust up with Roger Morgan right in front of little me, and our guy telling Ron to '**** orf'! URRss!!

    Still remember the "Morgan Twins" chant to the tune of the "Mighty Quinn" and how old and decrepit Frank Saul looked when he got signed. Then we signed that guy who had been banned for a few years for the big match fixing scandal but he was permanently crocked. Forgotten his name, so long ago. Centre half, IIRC.

    That's the one, just googled him and it wasn't he who got the ban but Peter Swann at Wednesday. That was the link, Mobley took over from Swann.
