he'll be here for the foreseeable future because any move available to him is sideways untill he is an established premier league manager If he gets a big job after keeping us in the prem for 5 years are we going to be mad? I think we'll wish him well. People need to stop worrying about this it isnt really an issue
totally agree beefy. it does my head in articles* like this!! *not yours dave - you were merely pointing out the article
...........i think it says everything about PL that when he does eventually move on, later rather than sooner, hopefully, many, if not most ,city fans will "adopt" his new club as their second interest and hope for every success for him.
There are one or two things in that article that do not tally up with this video. I think this gives a better understanding of the man.
Celtic are the club which worry me, I think a top six club would consider him if he wins a cup of some kind or finishes high with a premier league club with limited resources over consecutive seasons. I think if we can grow a bit more as a club develop the ground more and give Lambert a decent salary and allow him to buy the players he wants then he'll probably keep around for a while. McNally is a major part of the puzzle Smith and Wynn Jones can be naive owners at times, whilst we had Doncaster and Munby running the club for them we were in severe **** if I'm to put it bluntly it was a complete and utter cluster**** of a business. Luckily Foulger and Bowcett come across as business minded, but McNally is the lynchpin of this club.
lambert has stated numerous times he will not manage celtic. he hates the venom between celtic and rangers and he doesn't want to play each team four times. he said he will never manage in scotland so no need to worry about them northants agree with everything else though - we have a lot of potential when you think about it! mcnally is key to it all though
Good to know that. Not sure about the Scottish national team though that could be one, but he comes across as someone who wants to keep active and manage week in week out, so I couldn't imagine it appealing to him that much. McNally is great, I remember some people being wound up with him raising the prices of certain things, in reality it shows how much past financial mismanagement was costing us and how much money we were losing. The debts being managed and we're living within our means which is number one reason why a lot of clubs end up with Administrators knocking at the door.
And even if he does go, that will mean its because he has been a success here. So that means success for us anyway, if you see my line of thinking.
Things are going great, you can tell For it´s only then this kind of talk, Get´s aired, by the ne´er-do-wells Expecting to see Lambert walk, Strange then, he seems so content And happy like never before, And if he should just be hell bent On leaving, there´s always the door, But I´d say he´s looking to stay And not only just for this year, And why should he leave anyway In the midst of such success here, He´s adored by both players and fans And the feeling´s mutual you can see, And we´ve not yet fulfilled his plans So forget such crass idiocy. Article based on nothing other than pure speculation. If and when he wants to move, he can. Until then he's ours.
I think there are a few managers above Lambert for the top 6 jobs. A few - not many. And I think with the team ever improving and financially backing Lambert I think within a few years a move to an Everton or Villa could be a side-ways step.
