Not about Wenger it's about the FA being spineless. If you offer up a slap on the wrist then it's going to get taken. 10 game ban minimum and a 100k plus fine. You can't touch an official regardless of how much we all like to have a pop at them. That just invites anarchy in theory.
Agreed, Bruv. Putting all rivalry aside, the FA will come to rue being so lenient with Wenger. Any kind of an assault on an official has to be dealt with in the severest fashion. Wenger should have got a lifetime stadium ban, effectively ending his managerial career. A 4 match ban is laughable! What kind of message does that send to thuggish parents watching little Johnny play down at the local park? Unbelievable.
I tend to agree, mate. If a player had done that, he'd be in serious trouble. As a manager, Whinger is supposed to be setting an example, not shoving officials around in the midst of his hissy fit. It was a nailed on penalty too. So he had no complaints in the first place.
