West Brom failed to win in their last 10 games including Chelsea Man City and Arsenal Farke failed to beat Brentford Barnsley and Bolton wanderers in a similar run in a lesser league. You use Pulis's recent stats to justify your argument that he is a poor manager but don't use the same relative criteria when judging Farke.
Farke has had 6 months experience of English football, Pulis has had a lifetime. I stand by my remarks!
Try comparing the cost to assemble the WBA team with the cost of our team, you'll find our most expensive (who doesn't feature these days) is less than their cheapest, honestly, it's not rocket science!
Compare Man City with Bolton Wanderers. West Brom are not expected to beat Man City but Norwich should be beating sides like Bolton Brentford Millwall etc etc. Pulis had an incredible 35.8% win ratio at Stoke with one of the smallest budgets and more recently a 42.86% win ratio at Palace 12 wins 5 draws from 28 games. Don't think he has relegated any side as a manager even when the club looked dead and buried like Palace. Would I rather have him as manager? Yes it's not rocket science. In a lesser league Farke has managed 39.3% 11 wins 6 draws 11 losses.
Millwall 2-2 Wolves tells you all you need to know about this league, there are no gimme's anyone can beat anyone so comparisons are worthless. If you really would prefer Pulis, all I can say is thank **** it's not your call to make
Gareth McCauley cost West Brom €1.5m from Ipswich I'm guessing our most expensive is Naismith so that argument is also bullshit.
He wouldn't be my first choice either but I believe he would be more effective than what we have now. We can't get much worse on the goals scored stat and most of our games have been painful to watch even when we win. I'm hoping that a good performance against the bottom side will restore some confidence at the same time we have Tettey Trybull and the young left back in the 11 , but I presume Burton will out battle us and score from a set piece like most teams do against us.
Sunderland have only won 3 games Bolton just 4 and they both beat us , I think that is more relevant than Millwall and Wolves drawing 2-2 .
I give up, you believe what you want to believe, I will never see things from your perspective so I have nothing more to say
Picking a proper team, in a proper formation with holding Midfielders instead of trying to squash in 4-5 number 10s. Finally dropping Vrancic and Stiepermann. Who would have thunk it.
Read a match report or two only, but GG on MFW made the point that playing a 'rookie' at left back (Lewis), instead of an adapted midfielder, was great for the shape of the team but also Josh M was a lot more aware of his defensive role as a wing player probably largely because he had a 'newbie' to shepherd on debut. Win win situation But injuries aside, why has it taken half a season for the obvious to become obvious??
