I'd love to see AN throw caution to the wind by not reinstating Tettey, bringing back Ruddy, dropping Martin, Brady, Hoolihan and Jerome (assuming Pinto is fit). Unfortunately, Godfrey is likely to play against Celtic on Wednesday, but I'd love to see him given a chance as a CB in the first team.
Sadly, I don't see very much of any of the changes I've mentioned happening until we change our manager!!!

We agree on the problem, players not putting in a shift, but we disagree on the cause and the possible culprits. You really do think the players are good enough and suited to this league don´t you, and you insist that the reason they´re not putting in the work is because the manager is useless. Well I would go so far as to say that some of them ought to be good enough, but at the moment, the way they´re playing, very few of them are actually suited to the demands of this league. It sounds as if you want it to be the manager´s fault, because you´re determined to get him out. I´m just saying that the reason I think the players aren´t putting in the work, is because some of them are intrinsically lazy and unprofessional. They prance about as if they´re still Premier League players, and we are still a Premier League club, well, they´re not and we are not. This league is fundamentally a ´roll up your sleeves´ league, and the sooner they realise that, the better it will be for all of us.

Manager/player chemistry is never just a question of motivation. The manager can motivate as much as he likes, but if the players aren´t willing/able to be receptive, he´s flogging a dead horse.

When did the chairman ever matter outside the transfer window until now ? How comes now Ed Balls is on Strictly he suddenly becomes a key person in stopping our free fall to mid table mediocrity , He doesn't. He doesn't own the club (Delia & Co), he doesn't run the the club on the day to day basis (Chief Ex) and he certainly doesn't have any impact on the management of the teams (AN). I personally have never been a great fan of Balls, but to in some way suggest that what he does anyway impacts the performance of the team outside a transfer window is a nonsense. He's not paid to be Chairman and I think from what I've seen he has a genuine passion for the team. If we were to sack AN, then yes I would have thought his presence at the club on a daily basis is much more important, but Delia & Co have clearly said the manager stays, so what exactly are you expecting him to do. I doubt very much that any Chairman of any club spends any length of time on a day to day basis at the club or even dealing with club matters. To suggest his appearance on a popular TV programme is in anyway disrespectful to Norwich supporters or in someway undermines the club makes no sense at all. Dare I say it's just personal bias.

But surely if he's unable to impact on a players willingness to adopt his ideas then either he or the players have to go. The trouble is he's been here long enough to get rid of the players that are undermining him or don't fit into the style of football he wants to play. The truth is with a few exceptions he's been instrumental in either bring the players to the club or retaining them, so he hasn't got that excuse. If anything if the current situation is as you suggest then it is of his own making / poor judgement and another reason to add to a fairly long list of reasons why he should go.

Dear oh dear, I don't want it to be the managers fault, IT IS THE MANAGERS FAULT! You seem to be suggesting that we don't need a manager because the players should be able to motivate themselves! Most of these players have been at the club for the last couple of years and have failed miserably, BUT the manager still keeps selecting them.

Similar thing happened when (not necessarily with RBF) posters lost the arguement re Martin being captain, all of a sudden the captains role wasn't important to effecting what happened on the pitch.

No - you´re wrong, it´s never one person´s fault entirely. It´s quite likely he´ll get the push, but the players have played their part in our debacle. Neil will get the blame, no doubt, managers always do, but that won´t convince me that he´s the only one who's culpable.

I don't have to convince anyone, it's there before our very eyes every week! He's lost the plot, but I'm not sure he ever had it on the first place!
I see my opinion is "wrong" in your view, so there's no point in carrying on! Just to be clear, this is a debating site!

I'm not sure it's entirely a question of fault and I don't think our current predicament is entirely down to AN. I was happy, like most, to give him a chance at the start of this season to demonstrate that he was the right manager for us at the right time. Maybe if he'd been braver in his decision making / clearing out the deadwood during the summer and shown a greater ability to learn from experience then we may not of been where we are now. I'm not even saying he won't be a PL manager in the future, but I don't want us not getting back to the PL while we have the parachute payments to be the cost of his continued development.

Anyway for me its not a question of how we got where we are it's what's the most effective thing (both in financial & footballing) terms we can do to turn things around quickly and for me it's to replace AN. AN has the rest of his life to get back to the PL, realistically unless the club changes significantly, we have 2 years

I'm not a great fan of Howson, he disappears to often during games. Only my opinion but we need someone Vocal, a shouter a warrior leader. We're far to passive, in midfield, we miss Bradley Johnson.
Don't forget Howson was and has been part of the team that got relegated and played in some of our no show games! As I've said previously it's strange that when a player gets injured or is unavailable for some reason he becomes the player that will return and save us! Surely we have plenty of cover in midfield?

Bring back David Fox!

I kind of feel that Howson, and perhaps to a lesser extent Martin, try to lead by example rather than the Grant Holt approach of letting everyone know what you expect of them. Unfortunately thats not an approach that works as well when you're collectively in the ****.

I'm not saying we haven't had bad performances when Howson plays, just that they seem to got even worse since he's been out. Also from memory when Howson was captain at Leeds they were quiet combative. I tend to prefer a captain to be a CB or midfielder. Gary O'Neil would have been another possibility if AN hadn't got rid of him. Klose is another option, but I've gone off him for captain a bit. Truth is I guess we're not spoilt for choice
