He looks like he's lost it, so reminiscent of the time of Hughton, even down to the clappers. He has to take sole responsibility for the situation we're in, he and he alone is culpable for the players bought in, the set up, the tactics and the performances. HOW could he not see how Naismith was performing!
I turned off Canary call so I can't remember who the ex player was who was on there, but he was saying that he thinks Naismith plays because of how much he cost us, how much he's paid and Alex Neil feels he has to play to get value for money out of him!!!!!!!! If that's true then the selection process is flawed and no longer means the team is selected by skill and ability!

Worst thing is this has happened at (far too) regular intervals throughout the season.
Remember the spineless capitulations at Southampton, Watford, Bournemouth and even freakin' Aston Relegated Viilla. I'm sure there were others, too, where we just failed to turn up, perform, follow whatever instructions the boss had given, whatever.
All very well trotting out the old cliche 'he's a young manager learning his trade at this level' for the Saints game really early in the season, but has he / they learned nothing from that horror show? Like not to replicate it repeatedly against the sides we should be looking to take points off?
I've never joined the ranks of those calling for him to go but after yesterday, and the all round ineptitude of his decision-making etc (Why TF take off our most potent attacking force, Brady, for no good reason so early in the game? <grr>) I'm firmly on the fence and wouldn't be sorry if the board acted - which, of course they won't.
They'll just accept relegation meekly and humbly - just like they did two years ago. <wah>

Seems that way, but on the other hand at least Martin's doesn't seem to be first name on the team sheet just cause he's the captain & a nice bloke.
 
The amount of no shows is a concern but, we have only been beaten by fine margins in the last two games and a few of the ones preceding WBA, 3-0 was a disaster on Saturday, but Sunderland had the breaks and on another day we could have won that. before their 1st goal they were dire and we were the better team. The penalty was a 50:50 pen in my book but one which will not always be given. It's us so inevitably it was. We again had chances to get back into the game and had Redmonds effort only snuck in then we could have gone on to win or at least not lose. But chasing the game played into their hands and they did take advantage. The manager has set the team up and the team has made more chances, more shots, corners and possession than the oppo. Two mistakes and a ref who has favoured them and we were done for. These mistakes are not down to the manager (Or at least mainly not), but as with the whole season the players who are just not upto it. I still believe AN is a good manager and that we should persist with him but I reserve the right to change my mind if we don't score another goal, gain another point and meekly surrender to relegation from now (Or 2 games ago!).
