Thats true, but allegedly we have a better midfield so our striker might be expected to get more opportunities, which could level things out. Either way, I think the best strikers do usually score more goals, so I will stick by my theory. I don't intend to say one is better than the other, just interested in how they go. Jose has bought players specifically to overcome the Teams which so succesfully thwarted our lack of penetration, and Costa is a key, so I truly hope he goes well.

Yeah, it's a good job Chelsea didn't start the trend 6 or 7 years ago by paying £30m for Veron or £21m for Shaun Wright-Phillips, or £17m for Bosingwa or £20m for Zhirkov, £30m for Shevchenko or £50m for Torres, or £10m for Moses or £32m for Willian.

Thank god Chelsea haven't inflated transfer prices <ok>

You also realise you got Luakku originally for £20m. Was he worth £20m at that point? If not you admit you paid crazy money.. if you think he was worth £20m then, do you not think he's added £8m to his transfer value over the last 2 years by scoring at a ratio of 1 in 2 in the Prem? <doh>

We got him for £12m. The other £8m was add-ons that he never fulfilled.

30 Million for a rookie goal keeper is steep. Everton splashing the cash means Lukaku is already sold. Likely Manu. Cannot / Should not buy Lukaku fpr those crazy price tags.

On the face of it, it seems a little mad, but its been a problem area for Everton for a while now and its must be a relief to have it solved.
Pickford is a solid keeper, and will only improve.

Word is Everton want to sign Batshit and Abraham. Abraham will never play a game for Chelsea, most likely, so they may as well flog him.
Batshit, i would like to keep for one more season.

Douglas Costa is quoted less than 20M Euros by Juve. That is madness.
Juve are trying to sell our reject John Square to Goons for 30M pounds. Madness too.

If we look nice & early, hard enough bargains can be bought.
We should learn from Juve and co on how to do deals.

What a load of bullpooh, was Eric Djemba Djemba worth the 3.5M that United paid Nantes for him.... No. What you mean is "valued at" not true worth.

    Agreed.
    £70m is ****ing ludicrous.
Suarez cost almost the same amount and he is probably the best out and out striker on the planet.
    Lukaku.......isn't.

Looks like we might be keeping Costa for another season now anyway, since he only wants to move to Atletico now, and they can't sign him until next year at the earliest because of their transfer ban.
I'd be happy with that, especially if United sign Morata, then all of Lukaku's suitors are gone and Everton are stuck with a moody as **** striker with a £70m price tag no one will want.

Said it before but the ban means Greizmann wont move and Costa can't go there till jan. Crying out for some form of swap deal in Jan or next summer.

Doing that in Jan wouldn't be ideal, as Griezemann and Costa are certainly going to be playing in the Champions league group stage for Atletico and Chelsea respectively.
If we did that deal in January, we would both end up with a cup tied striker, which would gimp both teams in the knockouts (assuming both teams qualify).
