Scoring goals is all relative, Hull aren't going to not score for the rest of the season, lets say that they only score 2 the rest of the season and they are both in 1-0 wins, thats still 6 points. We could score 8 and lose games 3-2 or 2-1 and get nothing.

In simplistic terms yes .... but applying that as a logic is way too simplistic IMHO ... if we were to follow that logic then we would have drawn against West Ham and lost to West Brom .... Alex Ferguson certainly operated a very successful model heavily dependent on Man United being able to outscorre the opposition ... if you have goals in you, you always have a chance ... if you don't, then a single score against you, particularly the first in a game, deflates both your team and, almost as importantly, your fans .... give me a team with goals in it every time ... and statistically scoring 4 , 3 or 2 goals in a game must be far more likely to get you 3 points than scoring just the one ...

Where teams are currently means nothing. End of the season is all that counts. We have games in hand over all three of those teams (two over QPR) and we've had tougher fixtures (ie, we still have easier fixtures to come) than at least two (Hull and QPR), while Burnley and QPR only have two home games left compared to our 5!

All in all, you have to say it's looking bleak for QPR. If they don't beat West Ham, they could be relegated before they next play at home. That's a massive, high pressure game for them.

Whilst i do agree with you, when your looking at the teams to escape the ones most likely to pick up points are the ones which pick up points in some games are the teams which are capable of scoring and ship goals as they end up just throwing their bodies on the line from number 1-11 and eventually score more than they conceed, whereas the teams which cant score always appear to get pulled into real trouble.

We have to approach every game how we have recently. We have proved many times we are at our best taking the game to the opposition

Yes we leak cheap goals and that wont change until the summer now.

    Today the atmosphere was amazing.

Well bugger me, 3 wins in a row! Obviously I want all the teams around us to lose but other than that I'm happy for you. You've been playing very well just not getting the results.

Its looking grim for QPR & Burnley now with the least points and a game less to play. I think you're the most likely of the five to escape now.

So Burnley, QPR & Hull to go down for me.

They'll be more twists yet, it wouldn't surprise me if we lost to Burnley but then beat chealski, it's why I love and hate football at the same time!

Long way to go really. After the burnley game next weekend, we have 4 of our final 5 games at home. This could prove vital for us. The king power is rocking at the moment.

Our next 3 games are against Burnley, Chelsea and Newcastle

We should be aiming to win all 3 but we should expect a minimum of 6 points. Obviously Chelsea will be extremely difficult but they aren't in the greatest form at the minute and we gave them a game at their place. We beat Man U, should have beaten Arsenal and matched Man City so we have nothing to fear

I'd be happy with four. It would be great to beat Burnley but a draw would probably suffice. We have to beat Newcastle at home though, they're terrible!

Were in form and need to take full advantage of that. Were not playing catch up anymore but still need to win games to stay up. Draws still arent good enough

Not sure about draws not being good enough. Did the predictor and put us down for draws against the Swans and also the dramas, and automated other teams predictions - it put us 3 points clear at the end of the season. Will be happy with a draw against Burnley and a win against Newcastle. Anything from the Chelsea game would be a bonus.

Pearson talks about managing expectation a lot and the fans will need to do that now. We've had three wins in a row, but in fairness, we've beaten three teams who don't have a great deal to play for and lacked passion. Burnley will not be like that. I really don't think performances have improved that much - we've played well most of the season - the difference has been the opposition haven't wanted enough, we've spelled blood and we've gone for the throat. However we've got there, we are now in a position of control. This will be lost if we lose to Burnley. A win would be great, but MAY not be essential (depends on other results). A defeat will once again take our fate out of our own hands.

I disagree that draws are not good enough. I agree with gangsta that I'd take a draw at Burnley as think we have enough opportunities in our home games to get at least another 6 points.

Burnley are struggling and were flying atm. Striker while the iron is hot. If we beat them we will be 5 points clear of them

Time to start making gaps rather then closing them

Last season we got on winning runs and ran on with that momentum. We have to do that now even against Chelsea

The club keep using the word fearless and thats exactly what he have been since the Tottenham game and look what has happen. 9 points out of 12 and 10 goals scored

We have to continue with it. Its what has given us a slight chance of staying up into a great chance

This for me too, we need to be looking for at least 4 points from Burnley and Newcastle with the Chelsea game as a bonus (would be happier with 5 or 6 though <ok>).

Saying that though, i should hope with our momentum that we can get 3 points off of a Burnley side that are finding it hard to score, just need to watch out for Boyd, he can popup alot like King.

Im sure the most optimistic of us wouldn't have predicted W-W-W-W from the WHU game onwards. im sure the most optimistic would have said 9-10 points from the last 3 and Burnley, so a draw at turf moor wouldn't be the end of the world and could still see us out of the bottom 3.

I think you lot will get outta the bottom 3, I also think that we will get away from the bottom 3.
I predict Sunlan to end up there.

    my bottom 3 are:

    Sunlan
    QPR
    Burnleh

we should finish in 16th with Leicester in 17th, or t'other way around.
