Thought I remembered a few months ago they were saying he should be back in October. I had my hopes pinned on that
Last season we needed another wide player. Adam left, leaving us needing two. We've signed three that can play there, so for me, the club know that Jayrod could be departing soon. January maybe too soon, but if not then, the summer.
Where did tadic play in Holland? Wide or central? I remember wishing he was central in the wba game as things only looked like happening when he was on the ball
I'd be surprised if Spurs would try and buy him in January if he's still not fully fit in January and not at his peak. Would be a bit risky with the injury possibly having an effect on him, but Spurs do sign flops...
At the moment im still buzzing a little about our signings so if they don't buy him January I cant wait for his return and if they do then **** him, we'll overcharge and get someone better for less.
Especially as the price we would want is would probably be based on his value fully fit, whereas they would bid lower due to the uncertainty. If rumours are true they value him equal to Townsend which in itself will explain why a deal with them may be unlikely. Play similar roles in the team but one is technically far superior and scores many more goals. Levy maths at it again...
I can see him being used up front at times to switch with Pelle maybe, RK managed to add proper competition to virtually every position on the field so he won't get an easy pass back into the team that's for sure.
I asked this above. Where does he fit in a potential team if everyone is fit? I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up like with chambers where he would rather be a reserve at a bigger club on bigger wages (because he wouldn't start ahead of lamela) than a reserve at saints
Regardless of where he fits, if Mané is as fast as claimed, I'd love to see just once, a game with Long, Mané and JayRod all running full-tilt at someone's defence. Be nice to see the deer-in-headlights look that'd engender in the defence. Vin
I was about to come on and post the same. I really like the idea of trying out a front 3 who are all pacey and can all play striker or inside forward and rotate throughout the match. As long as the midfield provides a solid base it could be a nightmare for opponents
This might be something to try against West Brom-type teams who are strong in the CB department but not particularly quick.
