He he!! Did I rattle your cage???

I wasn't counting my chickens. Far from it. I thought to be there at the top when United have had so many injuries to so many key players was simply astonishing. Nothing to do with the poverty of the opposition. Fulham played poorly but did the opposition make them look so bad? Chelsea only got a point against them. Wolves were bad but then they did well aginst Arsenal.

United may be has that special quality, that team unity in adversity that Evra was talking about.

I'll be happy to keep playing against so called poor opposition as long as we get the 3 points. As for not mentioning the scousers, what is there to say about them? They have the worst conversion rate of the whole premiership (8.2%). Suarez was their best scorer and he is going to be banned. That first premiership title will have to wait a bit longer. I am sometimes sad to see the demise of a once great club.

citeh are well over rated. once toure leaves in jan they will fall apart. the wheels are already falling off. when big sides lose they go on long unbeaten runs straight after defeats. man u will win title by around 8 points.
citeh will finisf in 4th or 5th place despite spending millions whilst united spend nothing and still win everything despite bringing in young english players all the time.

This is the best chance that City will have to win the title. Chelsea and Arsenal are far far behind. Spurs are palying well but are also dropping points.

United have an unsurmountable problem with injuries. When their best players are out, I cannott see anyhting but dropped points.

They will need to beat Sunderland today. I feel even a draw will do psychological damage to their belief of lasting the course.

just sounds like excuses after the Blackburn loss, it was city this UNited that by you until now. City are havina blip falling apart imploding, United just lost to Blackburn at home and how you go on about injuries, Blackburn have the same amount so no blaming injuries please, liverpool have been without their best two midfielders and only got one back yet it is not a valid excuse for LFC when they dont perform but a very Very valid one for United.

You say cage rattled, there was no need, my post had nothing in there but some obvious facts really, not much else. Enjoy your excuse ridden new years day<ok>

United lost from a couple of poor goals from defensive mistakes. These things happen and I did predict that United will do well to be even in contention with so many key players out.

City should be well over the horizon by now , with the strength of their squad. BUT somehow they are still within catching distance....Like I said they will be under huge pressure to win today, if not the gap is only one point or less.

At present Man Utd have 11 players out injured and of those 11, 3 have no date of return yet. Of those 11, 10 are players who play for the first team. Liverpool at present have 1 out injured. Hardly a good comparison lad.

Oh and by the way, City have no injuries at present.

To be fair, Utd with 11 players injured should still be able to beat Blackburn with 9 players injured. Tho' I'm not sure why BBF seems convinced we are making excuses for Blackburn - Christian clearly stated he expects us to drop point in future as a result of the injuries. Guess those Scouse tinted glasses are stronger than we thought <ok>

Tho' I can't believe City, with the largest damn squad in the PL, are the only club without any injuries!!

Crepe Swarbs, I was directing my posts at godsquadsmith directly guys.

tbh games like blackburn happen, top beats bottom again, one of the things we like about this league, a team can be complete dross and then go and beat the top side who aren't at the races<ok> I do think the points were counted in the bag though, that was most unexpected

Completely agree about the result - it's great to keep it interesting and will hopefully keep the title race from becoming a complete two horse race in the near future. Although Spurs also managed to screw up their big chance to close the gap! Fingers crossed O'Neill can get a result for Sunderland today and keep it tight! <ok>

Its going to be close, it is gonna be 20th or is it 1st for City.. Spurs I think we can agree have shown that when it matters, really matters to get the 3 points they came up short. I am still not 100% we wont steal 3rd but the way it is goin this year anything can happen tbh, bottom beat top tice this season already, whats next, some hot snow falling up:)

You mean 3rd for City? Footballing history didn't begin in 1992, you know! KPR would be mortified... ;)

Tbh I'm still standing by my prediction:

    1st City
    2nd Utd
    3rd Chelsea
    4th Spurs / Arsenal
    5th Arsenal / Spurs
    6th Liverpool

I just see your lot dropping more points more consistently than the rest of the top six - you still haven't won three on the bounce this season and draw far too many at home. I reckon Spurs will fall off a bit in the New Year, although Chelsea's recent form could cause them to drop to fourth below Spurs, or even below Arsenal, if they don't sort out their problems and properly move on from their reliance on Lampard and Drogba.

Ouch, 6th, that hurts man, wheres the love in 2012:)

We haven't played well but the chances were made even in games we failed to win, the team produced where individuals failed, beena story for a lot of points dropped, including our draw with ye, they were definately 2 points dropped in that one, City too. QPR Blackburn ect ect ect, 6 home draws when we created enough to win all 6 in those games, so 6th is a little unfair. If we stay mean at the back and take those chances then we will move up the table.

literally 6 inches is why we are not 3rdish, 18 times hit teh woodwork, bad luck or call it poor finishing if you will as the woodwork is off target but that's the difference

6th is my NY present to you - a couple of weeks ago I was telling RHC I had you down for 7th ;)

I thought you said you were playing well and it was just the finishing letting you down? Problem is there gets to be a point where poor finishing becomes self perpetuating - you had the same problem back in the first few matches of the season and haven't gotten anywhere nearer to solving it yet. Whereas Arsenal and Spurs both started badly, but have had great form for the last few months.

I would call it bad luck if it was only a few times, but 18 times in 19 games is more than just luck. Same with keepers playing well against you - they do it cos your finishing is not clinical enough so the keeper can always get something on the shot which gives them confidence. You need to start burying the first chance otherwise the problems will just continue.
