From Cromer to the Midlands back to Hethersett. In Norfolk and extremely happy about it. I've been to plenty of wonderful places around the world but still feel a warm glow when driving past the "Welcome to Norfolk, Nelson's County" signs. Tragically I often boo when I head the other way into Suffolk.
Born Nottingham due to awkward entrance to the world. Lived in Loughborough through to early twenties. The rest of my time in and around the sh*thole that is Leicester, including Aylestone, Narborough and more recently Thurnby and Bushby on the A47 just our side of the City. Used to take in about a dozen home games per year taking in a round trip of around 260-270 miles with my cousins. In those days the A47 used to go through Swaffham, Dereham, Wisbech, Uppingham, Billesdon and East Norton, it seemed to go on forever, particularly the long journey back if we lost. Away games were easier for sure.
You've got to say, Norfolk has some of the best village names that never sound as they're written.. Confuses the feck out of holiday makers...
I love you, Dave. I just knew I could get away with that, but only as its you. She still has lovely legs though.
Born in Aylesbury, but lived in Norfolk most of my life. Grandad supports Norwich and took me to my first game when I was about 7, never looked back . Recently moved out of Norwich to Watton and go to as many games as I can. Bit frustrating as getting a ticket is much more difficult now, went to plenty in league one and championship but not manage to get tickets to a single game last season...
Am sure after Adam Drury's testimorial game at your home ground. Norwich City V Glasgow Celitc 2-0 Result and what an atmosphere was to be had among both sets of fans! Am also sure that we take away with us friendship from the good people of Norwich, And look upon yous as our only English team...Good luck for the future......Hail-Hail.
Thought Id chip in, bought up in Stalham now live in Cambridgeshire. My Granma and her twin sister were Caister girls and massive Norwich fans, unfortunately they're no longer here but I still have all their programmes from the 60's and 70's including the 1959 Cup run. Started going to Carra Rd in the 1980's and although it's unrecognisable these days I still feel a warm glow when I go the odd game.
