Born in the arse end of no where near the Pulhams and held a season ticket for a number of years before work took me first to essex and then to the midlands, I'm now in Sandiacre a burb of Nottingham. Some day I hope to return but also love the proximatey of the peak district over here. These east midlanders need to sort it out, surrounded by championship or worse here even the away games take some getting to.
At school it was very in vogue to support Loserpool (that does make me a bit old, not Dave old but old) but there was only one team for me I remember my first game on the riverend terrace me n my brother both balancing on a milk crate to see the game.
Or to cut a long story short one here in Nottinghamshire.

From age 4 to 16 I lived in Bramfield, spent all Summer holidays cycling to Southwold, they had a halfpenny machine on the pier that gave you a ball to flick and if it went through the proper hole, you got a tipped woodbine! I became a champion flicker, very rarely missed!

Fair play Beefy, I spent a week at Corton just recently and I love that part of the Suffolk/Norfolk coast. I went to Yarmouth Stadium for the stocks/bangers and it was great fun! <ok> We have got some beautiful coast line shame about the Essex bit which is a mainly a big let down!

The dirty night out in Yarmouth reminds me of a few spent in the Long Bar on sea front...

Used to frequent the Long Bar at Gt. Yarmouth quite a lot. Can you remember a band called 'System' that used to play there, probably late 70's? Thought they were pretty good.

What has happened to LACanary who used to post on 606? Maybe he has switched allegiance to LA Galaxy but I doubt it: "Once a Canary, always a Canary".

1994 Went on a "Jolly Boys Outing" to Yarmouth and ended up in the Long Bar. I picked up this young bird and her mate who both looked pretty fit in the dim light when the beer goggles were on. They followed us out into the bright sunshine (very disorientating coming out of a night club) and then we realised that they were a right couple of broilers! We decided to leg it and they ran after us all the way down the Brittania Pier, thank god we lost them in the Arcade! Happy days!
