Not signing someone who has never played in England before is a good start where getting a decent forward is concerned
1. Meaning that even if we take advantage of it as soon as it opens, the forward we desperately need will miss one or two of our eighteen remaining games; 2. Loans are not the way forward
Realistically, it opens in just over three weeks, we're unlikely to sign anyone we can't use in the play-off's.
Yes. We're still 3rd and we've been playing ****e recently. If we were in freefall there may be cause for concern but we're not and there isn't. Everyone goes on about how brilliant the league is but half the teams are piss poor. So teams around us have signed a striker? Whoop de do. We've battered the teams around us so far and just because they've added a striker isn't going to dramatically change things. 6 weeks ago we hammered Leeds and were the greatest city team in decades. Fickle fickle 'fans'. Chill out you mongs
Happy that we haven't been railroaded into giving a 31 year old mercenary, a two and a half year deal on bigger wages apparently than he was on in the PL ffs whatever the season has in store for us.
can I just say the most disappointing thing about this deadline day for me is the high neckline of Natalie Sawyers top on SSN.
It opens on the 11th then. The 93 days can be split up and there's a 2 week gap for internationals in March where we can "send them back" for 12 days.
What I meant is if we'd have gone all out to buy a 30 grand a week striker but then could get Brady, Elmo, and Mayler back he'd probably be stood in the box with his thumb stuck up his arse waiting for someone to get a decent ball to him. Hopefully we'll keep getting them great crosses in and gedo, prozzy, Simmo and aluko will come good with the goals.
We have added a striker and cover for the RWB position on loan, so strengthend the weakest part of the squad. Plus we have kept all our own players, signed up 2 loan players and got back 2 more on loan who were a big part of our climb up the table. How can anyone be moaning about this????
Fair point made earlier regarding Geography, unfortunately we are`nt as attractive as the Southern clubs or those that pay silly wages, Aluko could be back in 4 weeks or so, Elmo has come back and to be honest we`ve so missed his supply, this lad Gedo and Prossie may just find a bit of form on the end of these crosses. As for paying over the odds for the likes of DJ, no thanks, we gambled once before on an overpaid premadonna and look were it landed us, on the brink of administration til the Allams bailed us out. I still think having secured Brady and Elmo the chances will come again, lets hope Prossie and Gedo feast themselves, yet again I`ll say it though, Morison for me was the man we needed, but having not got him we move on.
Philip Buckingham ‏@PJBuckingham Analysis of Jan cobbled together. For me, Elmo's return means the month is a success. #hcafc have left Jan stronger than when it began. Sums it up for me.
Cardiff - lost to them Lesster - lost there, drew here Palace-drew here Boro- lost there Watford- won there That's one win against all the teams around us......
hopefully Gedo will hit the ground running , cant afford for him to still be finding his feet like Prozzy 6 months later..
