No evidence at all. Mourinho was saying it in the context of his friendship/close relationship with SAF and that he knew of his departure well before anyone else even SAF's colleagues ... To be honest United would NEVER have considered Mourinho as a replacement for SAF. United always wanted someone long term and uncontroversial. Mourinho on the other hand is very suited to the Chavs and Roman who likes his managers not to get too comfortable...
