We of course being the mighty Cardiff City - your visitors on the weekend.

Given recent results between the two clubs some over here would say that history indicates we only have to turn up. Others still quote the 0-6 drubbing we gave you over there when young Lee's father tried to trip Chopra up on the touchline.

Personally I think we need to take you a bit more seriously this time - not too much respect mind, we don't want you thinking you're the better side.

What I'd like to know is what we can pass on to Colin from your experience. Things like should we play Tomlin at outside left and is your keeper likely to bottle it if Morrison and Bamba put themselves about in your box?

I know I'm asking a alot here but as supporters, we need to approach this game in the correct spirit. As underdogs in the betting for this one, we need all the help we can get. <ok>

My girlfriend usually uses both hands to beat me, both sexually and physically.

As for beating us on the pitch? I hear Tomlin has anger issues but if he comes up against Nathan Baker he’ll be booted over the Lansdown.

You’re losing this game Sparkey. Please do enjoy the build up though.

I await with interest whether Tomlin will be picked to start for the twelve toed mob against us?

If the rumours are to be believed, there are a few of our players who will quite enjoy giving him a kicking around the park on Saturday.

I'm guessing 10 v 10 within 20 mins..
 
It has the potential to be a great game - I would expect us to have more possession, probe and ask questions, but for Cardiff to be organised and electric on the counter - also tough (but largely fair) in the tackles.

Very unpredictable - I can envisage every scenario from a 0-0 draw through to either side winning comfortably. I heard Tomlin had his best game so far against Ipswich & he'll be motivated here, though he'll unlikely have as much time on the ball in this one.

The past couple of games I've predicted draws & we've ended up einng well... so I'll predict another draw! :emoticon-0105-wink:

R&W - I'd take that any day in a game like this.

The problem with a comment about pace like that might be you believe you're the only team on the park that's got it. No real idea about your defensive pace as opposed to what you have going forward, but you could seriously underestimate the damage that the pace of our Hoilett and Mendez can inflict. Also if Warnock sets up with Paterson and Bennett as wingbacks either side of a back 3, you're defence better be on form.

We've been saddled in the past with the tag of the team that can only win games from set pieces - it would be a big mistake to assume that this season.
 
It should have home win written all over it. But in these games it can go either way. And I'd be stupid to say otherwise...........

Redprintt is right (again) though in saying that Dame Colin will have Cardiff wasting time, feigning injury, and all of the other trademarks he's notorious for at every opportunity.

'Kinell AN16 - not another bloody one on the "get Warnock" bandwagon.......<laugh>

Isn't it funny when a team gets beaten they blame the other side for time wasting. For instance Wolves shied away from the fight all game when we played them. We got in front and played the game out.

In actual fact, Santo was out-managed by Warnock on the day and his side outplayed on the pitch. Of course we only beat them up there because we time wasted. <doh>

Although universally condemned, time wasting (various degrees of) is part of the modern game. I absolutely hate it when a team leading by the odd goal takes the ball to the corner flag and hold off opposition players with their foot on the ball in the quadrant - legal but isn't that just time wasting?

Also how is it that the players in the team leading by the odd goal in a game are the only ones who go down with cramp in the last 10 minutes? I suppose you lot over there never suffer from cramp so wont get it should you be in front with 10 minutes to go eh?

Get real guys, this is football as it is today - not necessarily something we want to see but unless the rules change, this is what we've got. Until refs add time on (maybe even double the time) for deliberate injury feigning and prevention of continuous play, it'll be with us.

Before anyone has another go at Warnock over it, take a look at yourselves and answer honestly - hasn't your team ever done it?

Sparky, I don’t doubt the quality of your players. Neither do I doubt Warnock’s ability as a manager - he will have your chaps fired up I’m sure - he also must love beating us as fixtures between us and a NW side have always been let’s say ‘eventful ‘
Besides, the league table doesn’t lie.

My comments about pace was born from colllating the comments of opposition fans and managers of the teams we have beaten.

LJ will be the one to think about your set up and how fast you are.
I don’t know if Warnock allows you Crapdiff supporters to set your teams up. But in the real world the manager sets the team up. So you’re better off asking LJ if he’s concerned about wingbacks or speed of Hoilett.
Difference this season to last is that LJ seems to set up the team to counteract the opposition. If you was to ask any of us prior to Tuesday’s game you would of got “what the **** is he doing” sort of comments. But it worked out for the best.
The Leeds game in my opinion was a weather driven game which we were not ready for and Leeds blew us away. We seemed to be either under or over hitting passes. I know the weather affects both teams but we were dire in that game.
Warnock will time waste, he will be the pantomime dame to the crowd and will complain about something. Like it or not that’s just him.
Will you win, lose or draw? Ask me at 2.pm on Saturday and I will tell you. But this season our away form is better than our home form (Cup aside) so it could be an entertaining game.
 
R&W, ROD - good to talk.

I suppose a game like this assumes a somewhat harder edge because of our current good table postions. The contest will be won or lost (or drawn) by a combination of things, not just previous performances nor the respective skills of each manager. Reputations and even form count for nothing and it'll probably be down to who's up for it on the day.

Refereeing is another matter and don't get me started on that! I just hope the officials allow the game flow and we all enjoy it. <ok>
