I'm the other glory hunter here. My mum's from norwich but had no interest in football. My grandpa took me to a game in the season we finished 3rd (1992?) in the premier league. I dont think he particularly liked football either, but i was hooked and begged him to take me to CR every time we visited.
Same sort of situation as Redruth. My Grandad took me to Carrow Road in 1950 and we then went to every home game - I have been going ever since. In those days there wasn't television to allow you to watch other clubs so really it was compulsory to support your local team - all you knew about other Clubs was what you read in newspapers or heard on the wireless.
moved up to norfolk aged 12 a spurs fan. started watching city and over the years they grew in my heart! i still have a soft spot for spurs (my dad was born within sight of white hart lane and was a lifelong fan) but when they play norwich i am still roaring for norwich to win!
I've lived in Framlingham, Suffolk, all my life. I have supported Norwich since I can remember despite being surrounded by Ipswich fans and the usual glory hunters! None of my family are in to football or from Norfolk, so I guess it was just in born in to me!
My dad supports Norwich. One of the first games I saw on TV was the highlights of us beating Oldham 3-2 in the 92/93 season. First game I went to was the 2-1 win over Man City later that season as a school trip. Now in my 21st season following them and my fourth as a season ticket holder.
I'm another glory hunter. Had very little interest until the 84-85 milk cup run. It was Steve Bruce's winner in the semi that hooked me completely and from then on there was only one team for me. Having a Norich mad family and living in Trowse opposite the training ground helped as well.
Same story but a few years earlier. After Coltishall he was posted to Laarbruch and I spent two years supporting Borussia Monchengladbach.
I was actually born at Carrow Rd in the River End and wrapped in a yellow and green flag when presented to my mum. Sorry, had a wonky/Carla moment there. I am just plain born and bred (thats "and" not "in") in Norwich. I did live in Stockton for a while (horrible place) where they support Middlesborough but I have never had the slightest feeling of affection for them.
