June 1969 - The Ballad of John and Yoko by The Beatles, just beating Tommy Row with the original Dizzy (think thats how we're all feeling at the moment!)

I was born in June 1989. Rangers had finished 9th in the old Division 1 and Jason Donovan was at number 1 with 'sealed with a kiss'.

I was born on 7th April 1981. Shakin' Stevens was top of the charts with "This Ole House". I have no idea who we played that week. Anyone know how I can find out?

Cheers Sooperhoop, its good to know the result. Yeah, contrasting fortunes for both Clubs in those 30 years. We were in the same Div in 03/04 as well.

James, the first hit parade (it was actually a Top 12 but had 15 records in it due to some ties) was only published in 1952 so you pre-date that by some distance! On 7th March 1936, we beat Gillingham 5-2 and on 14 March 1936 we beat Bristol Rovers 1-0 so this was obviously a very good week. Good to see you on here.
