I think the pre-season is what is making me nervous. I know that the Scottish teams are further along in their pre-season than we are but I'm not being inspired by our attitude so far. I want to see some more risks being taken! I'd like to see us tour outside of Europe, preferably America so we can do some heavy scouting for players that would love to play in England. I'd also like to see us linked with more players outside of the UK. A number of our better players started out in their home leagues and we're missing a trick by not sending some people out to look around. What I do like about the current crop of players is that they're still relatively young and can improve. It's all down to whether McInnes can get the best out of these young players, because if he can we could have a very successful season. It'll be a very tough year for us, so hopefully McInnes is making it ten times tougher for his players.
Personally feeling quietly confident. Confident of survival that is. Whilst the summer signings so far are all decent players, with the exeption of Heaton none fill me with excitement or offer more than we already have. My confidence comes from Del boy having now had a summer to mould a team, last season to see strengths and weaknesess now i feel we will see the del boy team. I feel strongly another striker will be appear, and would still like to see cisse re-signed. We start the season on the same points as everyone full of hope's and asspiration. Bring on the season and let the robins rock!!
