True Blue, Your statement about Margaret (murderer) Thatcher being one of the best Prime Ministers ever does not lie easily with the rocks that made soccer the
once great sport in the island of Britain. I give you the names of the cornerstones of three of the men who made soccer great in the 60's.
Jock Stein, Bill Shanley and Matt Busby.
These men had all one thing in common, they came from a mining background and they never forgot their roots.
That murdering bitch of a Prime Minister conned the miners into buying their homes and after they had put their meagre sayings into these homes, she proceeded to make the houses utterly useless by closing all the mines. Which mean't the miners had to leave their area if they were going to ever work again.
The fact you can mention, that woman's name without swearing, means you will never be a proper bhoy in my eyes. I am even ashamed I ever replied to a post from you as it could be argued,a supporter of her is an accomplish to all the murder and suffering she brought to this world.

super hooper, your post is absurd. You've been brainwashed by someone, maybe your parents?
Thatcher was a great primeminster. She rescued this country from oblivion with Britain the laughing stock of Europe. Strikes everywhere and the unions effectively running the country. The dead not buried, rubbish left uncollected in the street, and people sitting at home in the dark with no electricity. That's what Thatcher inherited. She made this country great again in just a decade and we are still reaping the rewards of what's she done today despite Labour's best efforts to bankrupt us again. She needed to get to grips with the unions. It is what the country wanted. You can't have a government held to ransom by scum like Scargill. Scargill wasn't interested in the miners. He wanted to push his own extreme socialist agenda and maintain the power of the unions. He couldn't give a toss about the miners. As striking miners suffered, he used to drive around the various pits in his jag. Thatcher was right. The mines were no longer profitable. All Thatcher wanted was an exit plan to start to wind it down. It's the unions who refused to negotiate or discuss that turned it into an all or nothing. Coal mining is not a job for the 21st century in a high tech westernised economy. Would you still send children up to sweep chimneys? Thatcher was a incredible primeminister and plenty of people voted for her. And she achieved everything she did as a woman in a man's world. She truly is a remarkable woman and deserves respect even if you don't agree with all of her policies.
