Promotion with our players at the moment will be to much for them in the Prem, except for Lallana, Cork and Fonte etc. This season was and still is about finishing as high as we can, then pushing for the autos next season.
No, I don't there is a time that is too early for this present incarnation of Saints team/club to get promotion to the Premiership. For some clubs, who clearly are way overachieving and have no chance of staying in the league they are promoted into, for more than one season, then perhaps it's better that they stay and build slowly, getting themselves prepared to make the jump permanently. The Premiership would probably be too massive a jump for them, especially if they've done back to back promotions [Blackpool], without investment in infrastructure, coaching staff, facilities, replacement players, you name it... But I believe Saints are quite prepared, and will require only a small adjustment to stay in the Premier league and grow. FWIW, I think Norwich City may well survive without being relegated. We'll see.
