Our accounts show the amounts committed to in transfer and agents fees, the term over which it's paid is a separate issue.
What so the accounts show what were have committed to paying during that financial year, even if we're paying that sum over say 5 years? If that's the case, why are the addons not included in that, as surely we'd have to 'commit' incase they came to happen.
They don't become a liability unless they come into force, just as a player who has one year option on his deal isn't considered a liability until that additional year has been triggered.
Because they may not happen, we could budget as a premier league team because it could happen, but that would be dangerous!
