This is the type of tosh that is just ridiculous. We don't have the money that Leicester do, nor would i want us to plough the money in that Leicester do,other wise we face the same future we did under Duffen etc.

What is people's problem, we are third, with a good squad and a chance of promotion, if we don't go up SO WHAT!!! If we give it a good go then we should all be proud. As for the Allams coming out every week saying that they will spend what it takes is just stupid. All these fans who joined us for the prem need to take a reality check, we were nothing but a bankrupt division three team 12 years ago, now we a re a top championship team.

last season the owners were supposed to be willing to bring in a premier league striker on loan and pay big wages.

    Why not this season ??

So, if we were to get relegated to league one should we just say "take a reality check, we were nothing but a bankrupt division three team 12 years ago". You cant live in the past, we need to keep moving forward.

Same thing as I've said. We've actually reached a point where Nick Proschwitz is our best striker.

Here are the players we have who can, or have, operated as forwards

Nick Proschwitz - simply doesn't look cut out for Championship football. I stand by the suggestion I made in November, about loaning him to League One for a month
Jay Simpson - terrible in 99% of the games he plays; just plain bad in the remainder
Robert Koren - even if there are an infinite number of parallel universes, there are ****ing ZERO in which RoKo is a striker
Sone Aluko - fantastic footballer, but much better when playing on the wing
Matty Fryatt - injured, obviously, and I doubt he'd be good enough for the Premier League if we ever got there
Mark Cullen - he's not a ****ing footballer, he's a marsupial mole for Christ's sake
Cameron Stewart - ****ing fat ****

I wouldn't mind but questioning the Allams and their supposed "lack of commitment" makes me angry- no Allams no Hull simple....

That post is just pure bollocks I'm afraid. You're just saying I'm wrong without actually addressing what I've said at all. I've already said in the post you've quoted, that yes we do have the money Leicester have. We just don't spend it. Just because you don't like that doesn't stop is being true. And yes, they do keep going on about spending money. They even sacked a manager and then claimed they were prepared to spend up to £40k a week on a striker in January. Again, you can't make that untrue just by saying it isn't. They specifically said we would have a 'top 6 budget' and used that to justify the increase in ticket prices. If we fail to make the top 6 because we hardly sign anyone then we've been lied to.

People's problem is that we're absolute ****ing ****e at scoring goals. You might be 'proud' of failure but I won't be, and no one enjoys being told how we're going to spend all this money on players to justify ticket prices going up, only to find it's bullshit yet again. If we were offering the kind of money they were on about offering to Barmby last January we'd have a queue of strikers waiting to come here.

We have the highest wages in the division or are you forgetting that? The issue is we posted a 9M loss, which is fairly substantial, and all spending this season is taken into account for the rule changes so unless you can come up with a method of trebling income i would shut up about them not spending. Can you also name this queue of strikers? We don't have a queue of strikers. They said they would spend 40k on wages for say 20 weeks. Thats 800k, name me a striker we can get for 800k, and then i will accept your point.

Our owners aren't mega rich, their 'worth' 400M, which in the world of football chairmen is very little, the issue we have is that we have two men backing us, Cardiff and Leicester have numerous.

Also on the wages our squad is made of about 19-20 players on first team wages, most clubs have it around 6-7 key players, then the rest on a lot lot lower, we don't unfortunately. Our squad needs an overhaul when a lot of contracts run out which is this summer.

Simple answer is... Hull has a lot of ****ing Morons!! I don't buy it that they are putting them on to provoke discussion. The ****ing ****er that didn't know where McLean was is the same guy who suggested signing Watfords front line, he was obviously a cretin but Matt Dean began probing his wealth of knowledge by asking him additional questions. The only logical reason can be that they are attempting to fill the void left by the lack of credible callers. Further evidence of this is the way they talk **** between calls.

The phone in should be conducted from 6pm onwards, after real fans have got home and can contribute.

Whilst I agree with everyone on here about the feckin idiots ringing in (even the presenters were pissed off with them - see Burnsy's tweets), the BBC does not receive a penny from any calls.

I'm sorry but why should the owners be obligated to throw more money at it? They have already spent £3.5m this window, still not enough for you?

I'm sure they are prepared to spend the money on a striker, the problem is the strikers, or striker that we want doesn't seem to want to move up to Hull. That's not the fault of the chairman, or the manager, or anyone else for that matter, it's just life.

There's no point signing a striker just for the sake of signing a striker if Bruce doesn't feel they'll improve on what we currently have.

Are you sure you didn't call Radio Humberside this afternoon?

I think you're misunderstanding me a bit there City. I'm just explainin why people expect us to spend money and the answer is simply that the owners always say they are going to. Clearly that is going to raise people's expectations and they'll be annoyed when they realise it's nonsense, regardless of the financial position of the club. I'm not saying it would make business sense to spend loads, I'm saying people will expect it to happen if that's what they're told. They won't worry about the finances until later, like when Duffen was here.

Also regarding the 'queue of strikers' I'm saying we would have that if we were offering the money we claimed to have been doing this time last year, not that we do have a queue right now.

Don't listen to RH - post match texters and tweeters not to mention the phone ins (generally from c*nts that don't attend home games let alone away) are embarrassing but a sign of the times.

Matt Dean is a clueless wet fart and Burnsey must be cringing having to endure his role as Sports Editor ..

As I remember it, this info came out in the wake of the Barmby sacking when it was alleged by the current owners that this offer was on the table. We never heard Barmby's version of events.

The problem is no club will sell a decent striker for the money the Allams touted, which in total would equate to 800k upfront, now i can't think of one for that price. I understand what your saying but we have already spent more than most clubs, and our net spend on transfers is top six, and our wage budget is top two, so not sure how anyone can deny where spending big money.
