The Markus Liebherr section has gone, unless I'm being an idiot - which has pissed me off the most. I know the club are tied to the contract but the usability of the website is dreadful and on mobile devices, it's unusable. The last design was a bit plain but at least it was easy to navigate around and view articles, galleries and so on. A real shame as it seems that the designers have tried to rush it through for the new season and not tested it properly. Hey ho.
Not a technical expert (yes, really), but is there any chance they can improve it as time goes by or are we stuck with it for this season.
Have been trying on two seperate computers to get Player to work, I keep getting thrown into the Subscription Page, Sign in again and got to the right section, clicked on to the Rickie vid. something is happening but it never gets to the start of the vid. On one occasion got into the vid. it stalled very quickly, loaded and ran a bit, stopped, loaded and ran then stopped altogether, it must be my system because others are getting it ok. Possibly being blocked by my Security programmes but very frustrating at the moment. It could be problems with Cookies but not being a nerd I haven't a clue.
Killed it for me, can't stand it. I have issues with adverts already, now they have made it one giant advert I can't even bother trying to get past it. See, change is bad.
What annoys me is that for the articles you have to click read more, why can't I just read the whole article straight away?
Hate it. Mobile version isn't, hate the pop up prevents proper Facebook or Twitter linking. Guess they want to make money but I am tempted to avoid it altogether. Someone needs to tell Cortese.
Just to add my voice to the above posts - i returned from holiday last night and went to catch up on Saints news on the OS, and was quickly peed off with the new site. Its a backward step as many above have said, in stark contrast with most other things associated with Saints at present. I hope that the club can change its design somewhat to make accessing simple things like club news as easy as before.
What a shame. I assumed that the glitches would be ironed out after the first couple of days but they're all still there. Slow to load, silly screen-pops, daft radio buttons instead of hyperlinks, hard to "see" the layout in the new colour scheme and a bemusing set of menus. Verdict = double poo.
I have given up on the site and like others have resorted to looking here first to see whether we have any news. Maybe we should all start emailing the club asking them to sort this mess out.
It has the look and feel of a particularly appalling Myspace page, and with all the utility of one to boot. Even before this came into being, I liked the old, generic one; it wasn't in the least bit exciting, but it was quick to load and everything was where it should be.
I suspect the club share our frustrations. It appears they are tied into a handcuff deal with Football League Interactive who produce the layout, coding and hosting for the website, as they do for 70 other clubs (most other clubs sites look the same as the new saints one). Giving Cortese's known lack of tolerance for unprofessional things, he may say enough is enough and tear up the contract and pay the penalty cause to do so to rid the club of such a ****e website. Everyday I am more and more bemused as to how really bad the new site is. I'm pretty sure a local school could have done a better job.
Persevered and got into the site the most exciting item http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/seasonal-car-parking-available-309392.aspx Says it all really.
I used the new ticketing system for the first time last night - was sloooooooooow to book tickets for Wigan; then told me I couln't have the same seats for United, so had to go elsewhere. No real problem, but when I checked the seating chart again they were definitely listed as available :/
Saints U21's draw with Brighton, Tada Lee scores, what are the headlines on the OS? That boring Car Park availablity story!
