yep, i agree with that. i've always liked how we had local firms on our shirts. this is another reason not to bother buying a shirt, season ticket etc. they're so out of touch with the fans it's unbelievable. you'd think some of the locals who work there would give them a nudge in the right direction.
On the OS blurb the new sponsors pay tribute to the club's "fantastic history and passionate fan base". Same as Slade did! Whoever our spin doctor is, it's a pity he wasn't here 2 and a half years ago.
Our CEO is keeping her powder remarkably dry so far. It seems that taking a vow of silence is the only way she can avoid making gaffes (not that she sees them as gaffes).
For those interested - today is officially my first day working for myself. I've set up a sports consultancy company with a specialist field for helping clubs and specifically the youngsters on how to handle the media. I'll also be accepting research projects similar to a role I did at the Footballl Fans Consensus back in the late 00's - where we would pitch for roles offered by the FA, Football League etc to provide information on prices in football, arguments for and against bringing back standing areas and so forth. Basically - this post is a bit of shameful advertising. I know some individuals work in education, so if you hear of anything which you think could fall in to my line of work, then I'd be happy to hear from you. Also - if anyone knows of any good accountants specifying self employed individuals then that would also be great. I've had many free half hour consultations, but didn't have a great opinion of them. The chancellor of the exchequer were equally as useless.
Good luck too @SuperChrissyisfantasticPardswasatrocious. This is what this country needs more of; self-motivated entrepreneurial types.
I'll get back to you on that super, my business partner spent most of his career in London so would have a better idea than me.
Cheers, Holden. It also brings me back in to walking distance of Browns and the White Horse on Shoreditch High Street (I'm so you'll understand ) Cheers, Don. It's the only issue concerning me as someone I know of got stung with a £18k bill from HMRC.
You could probably get a sixty year old from a seedy soho bar who'll do it a £20, providing you bring the Coke. Ice cubes will be extra!
Andy Reid set to announce his retirement today. Such a good footballer on his day - sadly injuries prevented him playing more often. Good luck to him.
