Such a shame that you have only been good enough to qualify once for CL ! Spurs really need to try harder to get into top 4 - better luck next season

No need for google Mr plastic, utd have had many attempts at winning the CL but managed it only twice.

    Nuff said.<bigcheesysmuggrin>

Failing to win it is disappointing but it can't be classified as **** unless every team other than the winners is considered ****.

**** is failing to get out of an easy group. United did do that a few seasons ago. Basle were in that group. Dippers know all about Basle.

To be fair not every team can go into the competition knowing that they're definitely going to win it.

Shows you've got the mentality of matth really.

The "team" never made the banner, neither did all Liverpool supporters contribute to its making or agree with the words on it.

Fair point. Had Slippy Stevie commissioned the banner it would have read "We're Going Again!".

Out of interest, given that you consider me a plastic because I don't live in Manchester anymore, what does a dyed in the wool "I've been dipping since before you were born and can't leave Liverpool because of my tag" Dipper make of all the 1980's southerners and midlanders who make up the vast majority of the Liverpool board? Do you secretly consider them beneath contempt for jumping on the bandwagon but can't say anything as there's only a handful of Liverpudlians posting on the board and you don't want to get stuck talking to the two Evertonians.

Jeez Shteve, I seem to have hit a raw nerve.<laugh>

I've said it before and I'll say it again, our out of town support is superb and welcome, they have stood by the club through the lean times and deserve much credit.

I get the impression you don't like your plastic tag, well boo hoo Shteve, you don't mind throwing insults at us about racism and dippers etc but I've educated you on the "dipper" thing and you might also like to note the death threats and terrible racist insults Danny Welbeck received from man utd supporters, face it feller if you can't take getting a bit of stick just refrain from dishing it out.

I don't mind you calling me a plastic Page. It makes you feel better about yourself so I'm glad to help. 25 years of failure has been a lot for you to endure, especially when you're brought up on success.

Your out of town support is essential to prop up the local economy. They fly in for match day, spend money in the town and you nick whatever's left in their pockets before they leave.

I condemn anyone who makes racist remarks. I certainly wouldn't make excuses for them or buy the t-shirt. Do you still wear it?

You're a top man when it comes to using stereotypes shteve.<ok>

As for the 25 years, very poor assumption that I'd be devastated that we ain't won the title for that amount of time, sorry to burst your plastic bubble but I've personally witnessed my local club win many league titles as well as many cups in my years supporting LFC.
Were you around or a utd fan during the 26 years in the wilderness after Busby?

Utd's only title win during those barren years was the 2nd Division title, I think you'll find that we have won plenty more than utd since our last title win than utd during their barren years.

My support for LFC is for life Shteve win/lose/draw or even relegation, that's what real supporters do.

    Very true.

As it stands will probably be how it probably finishes, but Spurs beating man utd would put a strong marker down.

I was around and a United fan for half the barren spell (the second half if you're struggling to work that out!). That's what made the success even sweeter and what makes the current and, in my opinion, future failure easier to accept!

Good to know that you're pleased Liverpool haven't won the title for 25 years. The next 25 years should be a blast! A lot of Liverpool fans who jumped on the bandwagon because they were the dominant team in Europe still struggle to accept that the club doesn't have an automatic right to success.

By the way, I don't doubt the undying loyalty of a lot of Liverpool fans. The support of Saint Suarez of Stanley Park proved that.

Your idiocy and hate is funny Shteve but I think Spurs Disciple is correct to want the thread back on track.

Surely that's not a slur on HIAG's prediction that Arsenal will end up as the 4th placed London club behind West Ham and Spurs ?

    #656
  17. Arsenal is a very good example of that.

How do you think that your prediction that Arsenal will finish 4th out of the London clubs (behind Spurs and West Ham) with Palace pushing us all the way will turn out HIAG ?

    #658
  19. It's certainly looking likely that you won't finish behind the Spanners, but you could still finish as the third best side in London.

That's not a prediction as such, more a suggestion for debate.

So you agree that your prediction that Arsenal will finish as 4th best London club has come back to haunt you, what a surprise <laugh>

You have also predicted that Spurs will finish above Arsenal, are you sticking to that prediction too ?
