I think Ince will be a success or at least a success based on the price we have got him Sturridge.......very very hard to call, could be a massive success or a massive flop, think his 1st 4/5 games will be massive as to how well he does Ive got the feelin he will be a massive success...but I could be wrong Believe there will be a couple more incomings with at least one on loan signings, be interestin to know who theyll be
Two goalscorers, I'm bleedin delighted. Happy days. looks like it will be done nice and early also, gives the team a lift.
Neither of these (apparent) signings particularly excite me since they both smack of our limited/reduced ambitions at the moment. It's good that they're young and still have potential but to be title contenders I think we need to be going after a better calibre/class of player (I know that's not on the agenda yet). Sturridge particularly bothers me, he's done little to nothing on the pitch to impress me or demonstrate his qualities as a proven, consistent scorer; this is linked to/isn't helped by how he's barely played this season, so I don't see how he can suddenly slot into our team and do what needs to be done; then there's the question around his attitude. All that combined would suggest that there must be better options. I do agree though with the comments that these two replacing Cole/Downing is a positive step, financially and tactically.
Don't care for either, but if they do come, WE STILL NEED A ****ING STRIKER!!!!! Sturridge will not be anywhere good enough to make a dent in our scoring stats, and if the club stop there this January, they are fecking clueless.
