Oddly one of the two viewings we’ve got is the person we bought the house from

 

I’ve seen that quite a few times. It’s not common but it’s definitely not heard of. The old ‘the grass is always greener’ etc until you get there.

 

She loved the house and only sold it as she couldn’t afford to buy out her husband whom she divorced.

We paid £267000 for the house when back then the threshold for stamp duty was £250000. She tried to get us to formally offer the £250000 and transfer her directly the £17000 difference. Screwing over her husband.

i just laughed in her face saying I didn’t fancy going to prison

 

And selling your future down the line for what £7500 (stamp duty?) . Strange that.

Excellent news mate. What happened with the other buyers that where pissing you around?

 

We found out that they were at the start of the probate process so could have been waiting 6-12 months for their deposit money to come through

 

They should have said that at the beginning. At least now you know you have a good sale. And asking price aswell.
